TickledPink scurried amongst the streets in her bright pink dress and shoes. She smiled at all who passed with her rosy pink cheeks pushed up high by the grin. Her reason for being out and about was quite different than her demeanor and looks. She had some interesting thoughts on her mind, and she wanted to go to the local diner, where gossip was all the rage, to share them. She knew what she had to share was more of her own opinion, so trudging straight out into the streets to give some grandiose speech would not do even if she felt it to be very true.

Greetings, ladies! And some gentlemen. I am here to share some juicy tidbits!

She stood up on the seat of the booth and sat down on the table to sit just slightly higher so she could speak to everyone easily.

What is it? I know you're all dying to sink your teeth into it. Well, my friends...it is about the type of people our world hosts. I know it is frowned upon to put people into boxes, but just hear me out!

The Leaders - No, I am not talking about your family leaders boys and girls! Of course, they are leaders, but what I mean by leaders are the ones who run the show. The ones most of our cities and families look up to and follow. No, not the Godfather's. They usually end up being called Tyrants, Dictators, Purgers, Bloodliners, or all of the above because they are the ones who call the shots, for everyone. Or at least they hold a very big sway. This doesn't always mean they are terrible people, but they usually do whatever it takes to stay on top, which in our line of work usually means kill or be killed. As such, the word "Paranoid" tends to be thrown out and about regarding their actions. This also isn't always one person, quite often it is a few people who are the leaders. They are loved and hated, not much grey area there.

The Comedians - These are your souls that take to the streets and rile everyone up. They might make outrageous accusations, they might poke fun at someone or two, or they may just purely be there to have a party and liven things up. Many times they are spewing crazy things and quite honestly give everyone a good chuckle...or perhaps some eye-rolling. Nonetheless, they are entertaining! Even if they seem like a madman or a respectable person who just love a good pun, they are bringing in the comedic relief that our souls enjoy. Plus, even if some of us hate to admit it, we need it. These are the ones that usually get people out here talking too, by the way. Even my ancestors have been brought forth by them.

The Supporters - This my dear ones, is what I would say many of us fall into. They know the way of things, they have been around the block too many times, and they have settled into their friendships. Some that fall into the spectrum have been Leaders before, the ones calling the shots, and realized it is exhausting, draining, and sometimes not all that fun. So, they support those who still enjoy the game of cat and mouse. They may just enjoy being with their friends, like we are now here in this diner, and will always choose to help them. They don't stir the pot; they don't try to pull one over on anyone. They are there to be by the Leader's side until the end. 

The Complainers - I believe this one speaks for itself in a way, these are the Negative Nancys that always remember things being greener on the other side. They don't offer much besides their heavily sour opinion. They are a lot of talk and not a lot of walk. I am sure almost everyone can think of a name or two that fits under this one, but please let us not call them out. They don't seem to want to even provide much help to make whatever they are complaining about better. They enjoy shitting all over the place instead and walk off smelling worse than the words they said. Usually, they make more of a fool of themselves than whoever or whatever they are complaining about. Yet, they somehow can never look in a mirror and realize that perhaps their real problem is themselves.

The Believers - Oh, how I do enjoy these people, adore them really. I believe one of the old journals I have from my family line heavily belonged here. These are the ones who believe our world can change and be different. They surely believe that this vicious circle can become something better. They are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed type of souls. These streets need them, for without them we'd all become old grumpy farts. She giggled a little at the word fart and smiled once more.

The Pretenders - This one might be easy but is the touchiest subject. They come to these shores, put a brilliant mask on, and attempt to woo everyone into believing they are a Supporter, but they are just there to maim and kill those who currently reside in their homes here. They might be out for revenge for their forefathers, they may just not like you and me, or as some say, "It was for fun or out of boredom". These are the ones the Leaders end up being called purgers over. The ones they are trying to snuff out. Many times, they argue that they weren't up to anything, and try to make the leaders look bad when found out, but they are and always will be up to no good.

The Sideliners - These folk are the ones who decide to not partake of our way of life and just sit on the sidelines, waiting. Yet, they don't join in on our families for work. Some don't speak at all and just idle by. While others have a lot to say and that is about all they have. Many of the Sideliners dip heavily into the Complainers too. Maybe they feel they will be killed off as a Pretender or they just don't like the bosses who are providing work. Why do they sit on the sideline and not just take a most welcomed vacation, not sure! That is why the Sideliners usually end up as more of a Complainer, but they still get mentioned all the same.

People can land in more than one type or change to be more of another, this is a very generalized overview of what I have gathered over many, many years with the journals from many past relatives. I share my words with no malice, except maybe for The Complainers...Yet, it is an observation I have made and just had to share! It was too juicy not to! 

She leaned in and with a wide grin she asked, Which leads me to ask you ladies…and gentlemen! Where do you feel you might fall or where has your family's history been before?

TickledPink giggled along with the many others who did too. Some around her looked slightly offended, others nodded, and some just took in what they heard. She gave a quick wink and then waved the waitress down to enjoy a lovely strawberry milkshake, with a cherry on top.

This is exactly what my mother Gillian said when she rogued. (And according to her public letter, a few other reasons too)

but they are and always will be up to no good.

My family never had rogued and always been known for being loyal and honest (also foul-mouthed and impulsive) to close friends. Assuming me and my kin will be 'always up to no good' would be very judgy. Sometimes, we have take action when things are stagnant. Its just the way it is. While i can only speak for myself, i wouldn't like this to be generalized."

"Anyway, very interesting input. In fact, i might start wearing THE PRETENDER on my suit and pretend i haven't been shaving my pubic hair in 2 months. Its all fine and dandy down here"

Starts furiously itching his groin.

While sipping on her milkshake she nodded to Itchy. Pausing for a moment to eat the cherry, she then recapped a few words she had said before.

I do agree, not everyone starts as a Pretender or stays one forever! As I mentioned people can change into different boxes. Yet, while they are one, they are and always will be up to no good. My statement stands for those who join a family's ranks with ill intentions to begin with, pretending not have such goals or ones who decide to suddenly do heinous things, but still act like they are standing with their friends. I will add to that, once you become one it is hard to prove the mask isn't still on. Many pretenders have changed things, they are not always bad in the end. They are bad for the Leaders though.

She paused for a moment then gave a small cackle.

You know, I should have said that part from the start too! Thank you!

As he juggled which category he thought he fell the most into he could just not choose exactly. He walked over a took a drink of his coffee as he sat his mug onto the desk. The steam from the coffee twirling into the air filling the room with a hazelnut, vanilla and coffee smell

I guess I am a believer and a bit of a supporter also! I constantly do think things can always get better and improve, while I do enjoy being with my friends, doing my job and trying to keep the fundamentals/principles of our work as I remember and was taught. 

She smiled huge when Striphe mentioned he felt he belonged in more than one, but mainly because he felt he was a Believer. She also clapped her hands excitedly over another person coming forward to answer too. 

Ohhh! Such lovely information! We do really need our Believers! I am glad to hear that you both felt and feel you are Supporters too! That is where I feel I reside myself! 

Let's form a club!

She laughed and finished off her milkshake.
