You all know them. They're one of the biggest acts in music history. And when you're on the topic, one question always comes up: which one is your favorite? Personally, my favorite is either Ringo, John, George, Paul or Pete. I know there is a lot of discussion about this kind of thing but, for me, it's easily one of them. How about you?

I'll be the odd one out and say George Harrison. In addition to loving the songs he wrote and his amazing and underrated guitar playing, I have to give him extra credit for being overlooked in John and Paul's shadow. Not a lot of people know this, but Paul is/was a master musician. He played all the instruments on several of the Beatles' studio albums. John had a famous quote when a reporter asked him if Ringo was the best drummer in the world. John said "In the world? He's not even the best drummer in the Beatles!". The media took that as a slight against Ringo, but it was actually a nod to Paul's master craftsmanship in music.

My favourite "Beetle" is the Cetonia Aurata. Colorful, pretty, and its larvae eat decomposing vegetable, so they are very good for composting plants and stuff.

Wait, you weren't talking about... those beatles?

These are all good answers so far, with the exception of Gidan. For me, it's still got to be one of Paul, George, Pete, Ringo and John. I don't know if there are any other options, maybe there are, I don't think anyone could say definitively, but in my opinion, one of them is the best one. 

John and Ringo both beat their wives, but I liked Cold Turkey, so I'm going to say John.  The best song written about smack addiction until Chinese Rocks.  Except Heroin by Lou Reed and the VU.  And heroin by Lana Del Rey.  But it's up there.  So, John Winston Lennon.

I'd say George but he was good friends with Eric "racist rant" Clapton.  But Something is excellent.  But Got My Set on You is terrible.  But What is Life is majestic.  I'm going to say George.

Hang on...  Thomas the Tank Engine...  It's Ringo.

Actually, Frog Chorus for the win.  Paul all the way.

Lennon wrote Imagine, a stupid, corny song. But it inspired Steely Dan to write Only A Fool Would Say That, one of their catchiest tunes. Are the scales balanced? Only the universe can know. 

When it comes to Harrison, Eric Clapton is an enormous dickhead, on that we can all agree. Here Comes The Sun and While My Guitar Gently Weeps might absolve George of that but Clapton also stole his wife, which is the sort of emasculating humiliation it's hard to overlook. 

Ringo had an All-Starr Band. Big checkmark for Ringo.

Paul has his own personalized, signature margarita recipe called the Maccarita. Paul's stock continues to rise.
