It's a blisteringly hot day in Delaware City and there is a shimmer in the air from the humidity coming from the bay. Seagulls squawk as they circle overhead and excited tourists traipse past you and your team as you get off of the ferry. Eventually you get to the main event colosseum and are encouraged to change. As you adjust to the heat you find yourself giddy with excitement. A booming voice greets you. "Hello Olympians and welcome to Delaware City! Tonight is all about YOU! On this glorious evening you and your teammates will parade around the field, waving your flag and announcing to the world that you are ready to do your best!" A little kid in a red white and blue jersey greets all of you and hands out a flyer. OPENING CEREMONY/PARADE OF NATIONS This is a role play event. You may pick a "flag bearer" to post a singular RP or you may post a team effort RP. Please coordinate among your city's chat or mail and post when you are ready.This event will kick off the Olympiad and will last the weekend. It will be tallied with other team events and go towards your team's overall medal count. The roleplay should be posted with the Title "MR Olympics: CITY NAME" "Well, there you go! Post your intros and wow the crowd!" |

zDiamonDz was been beyond excited since she had heard about MR's newest event "The MR Olypmics". She never thought that she would ever get the chance to compete in an Olympics, yet here she was. She had been trying to train for as many events, hoping to make not just her family proud, but also her district and city.
Dressed in her best outfit walking out into the arena that was holding the opening ceremony, behind her Awesome CL @Striphe, who as you would assume was holding their mega cool family flag proudly, she looked nervously at amazing Tox to the left of them. "Lets hope i dont fall flat on my face" she nervously said to Tox as she laughed "Im sure you will do great, after all you did do the most training" He replied cheekily with a massive grin on his face. Looking at him, she wondered if nerves ever got to him, she highly doubted though.
Looking behind her, she scanned all her families faces who were enjoying the atmosphere, glad to be out and about.

while Slushy grabs his sneakers, he watched the Olympic fire being lit. It's been a while since I stretched my legs and i also want to represent our city. I make myself available to compete for PH!! |

Furio tied up his athletic shoes and took a deep breath breath. Although he had been somewhat lucky to keep his athletic figure, the only exercise he got these days was running from the local police. Maybe the hurdles would be a good event, given how many damn fences he had to jump over recently.
Furio had always enjoyed The Olympics. They represented an ancient tradition, the competitive spirit, the pursuit of perfection. However, admiring something and being able to take part, were two very different things. Furio, however, firmly believed that you had to put your best foot forward in representing your city and district. It was something hard coded into his DNA through centuries of exploitation and being looked down upon by those from northern Italy.
As he stepped out into the stadium he was overwhelmed by the noise and exuberance of those in attendance. Crew flags were flying everywhere. He was sure that this was going to be a fantastic event. |

As his long stretch limousine came to a stop in front of the Olympic event, StripheCorelli took a second to soak in the event and the atmosphere. As he rolled down the window and took a deep breath he could smell food cooking and hear laughter and voices all around and he knew this was going to be one hell of an event As he stepped out of his limo he saw his RHM zDiamonDz mingling with a few people and drinking. Striphe knew she had already had a long day as she was the first one here representing the great city of Philly. He walked over and shook a few hands before walking off with zDiamonDz to get them both another drink |

It is to ghost's understanding that do to machinery failure that the overall scoring of the Olympics has been severely delayed. He was indeed hoping for at least word on this opening ceremony he participated in. The people want answers, we will keep searching for them until we get them!
