Looking down at her desk, Makima flipped over a page of paperwork she was working on when she heard a loud rushed knock on her office door. Her eyes looked up to the door before announcing the person inside the room. In stepped @Leonardbro_Nocaprio with a concerned shocked look on his face to which he approached her desk. "What?" Makima asked him as he struggled to speak, his lips just barely opening. "What is it?" she asked a little more furious now as she could tell something was wrong. "It's Luis. He uh..." he responded finally but trailed off. "He was killed in a shootout." he pushed out, clearly emotional.

A pause in the room occured as Makima fell into her seat. Her lifelong friend, her partner in crime had died? This wasn't possible. Taking a deep breath, she remained calm throughout her posture to not let any emotion be seen. "Okay." she said, swallowing down the pain she felt. 

"Petah wants to see you as soon as possible, he already knows." he told her, to which she nodded. "Yeah I'll uh be out in a minute." she responded, her voice pretty shaky at this point but she needed a few moments to herself. Looking down at the paperwork she had sprawled out on her desk, all related to Patangeli Inc, she began getting slight rage now as she pushed the papers off her desk in anger before standing up and heading straight to the door.

She figured Petah would want to talk about the next steps, as there were still members who needed a home and a purpose and she was the next to step up. It was all coming, that she knew for sure, but this was the last thing she needed or wanted right now. 

Heading out of the HQ, she stepped into the car the driver already had prepared outside the door and he closed the door behind her, her bodyguard sat in the seat opposite to her. Taking deep breaths in the back of the car, she unbuttoned her top few buttons to let herself breathe a little more. "Fast please." she demanded the driver, to which he nodded in the mirror to her. Speeding as fast as he could, 15 minutes later they finally landed outside The Institution - Petah's headquarters for his family. 

"Thank you." she passed to the driver before heading up the stairs into the headquarters, her black heels clacking in her steps and making it noted that she had arrived. Bodyguards waited outside for her to return. Her facial expressions remain nonchalant, no emotion could be seen for this interaction as it was merely about business. One of Petah's staff greeted her at the door and explained the way to her. "Yeah I know where it is, thanks." she said as she hurried past the member and up to his office.

Arriving outside of Petah's office door, she knocked a few times before his guard opened the door to let her in. He was knee deep in paperwork himself, probably figuring out what the next steps are himself. "You wanted to see me." she said, to which his attention turned to her. "Yes." he responded, his voice calm. "As you know, Luis' death is a tragedy but I need you step up and take the reigns in Paradise. I know you're capable and you know the members well." he said, to which she nodded. It was exactly what she expected would be asked of her. "Okay. I'll do what I can." she responded. "We'll have to transform the Patangeli Inc HQ a tad if I'm going to take over." she told him, her tone pretty normal at this point. Right now she couldn't think of anything else except for moving forward. "I figured as much" he responded, giving her his spare set of keys he had for Luis' HQ which had access to all the safes and anything else she might need. "I've gotta do some stuff today to turn it all around, but I'll do my best as fast as possible to remain open for business." she told him, he agreed with her with a smile before he began looking back at his paperwork. "I know you'll do me proud" he said as his eyes scanned the paper.

Nodding even though he couldn't see it, Makima headed on outside to begin a rebuild of the family. Lots had to be done today.
