No because the older I get the more I realize how absolutely fucking stupid and dangerous humans are. There is no chance in hell I would ever get a flying car. 

Absolutely! I plan on being one of those absolutely fucking stupid and dangerous people that Alfie is talking about. I advise everyone not to be on the Skyway at the same time as I am. I will be doing donuts, loop-de-loops, and pretending that I'm Snoopy fighting the Red Baron.

I think they call that an airplane, as becoming a pilot and owning your own personal sized plane are now easily attainable.

I don't think that humanity will ever achieve flying cars (in our life time), there are like drones and drone taxies, but one thing is a prototype and another thing is consumer good. We can send rocket to Mars, but it will never become commercial. Also, what people disregard is the following, when driving, you only need to pay attention two dimension per se, because it is only length and width, you need to understand the distance between you and the car in front or back and also pay attention to the sides, that is pretty much it (paraphrasing), but if you have driving car, it adds completely new dimension, height. 

Which means, that you, now have to understand how the swarm works, height, width, distance. Threat from above, below, back, front and everything in between (Like, top side and left, bottom and right) and all the other variations.

Is human brain capable of such thing, yes, are we fast enough to react? No.

You see, the insects that fly in a swarm and don't bump into each other, they do not have "conscious" decision to stop fluttering their wings, it is a chemical reaction that is much faster than a "thought" and it simply takes over and the wings stop so they don't bump and continue after that, a lighting fast reaction.

So, knowing how slow humans are, and how maniacally egoistic they are, no way I am buying a flying car and then dying in some freak accident because someone was texting and driving.

Also, flying cars? Just remember 9/11 and now think of a swarm of tiny planes...

A flying car would be kinda a personal thing between a drone and an helicopter? Handy maybe, but I don't see such "traffic" to exist as too messy to have many of them flying, and also very expensive and energy demanding to move.

Who knows, I might even think about buying it in the case, not sure where I could actually use it, with all the things also said about others before me. The "flying car" itself wouldn't even be too expensive actually, now that drones are getting more and more common, technologically very doable, but at same not gonna happen.
