A day in the life Started by: Skorp on Aug 18, '24 11:14

It had been a few days since the death of his grandfather and father. Little Skorp had no idea what this world had in store for him. The untimely death of his forefathers came sooner than he wanted. They weren't able to fully train this young little guy the way of this life. Skorp was thrown into the wolves to fend for himself and figure out how to survive in this ruthless world.

Skorp walked down the road, looking over his shoulder every minute, as he didn't know what to expect. He didn't even have a gun, so the only line of defense is to run and hide.

"Man, What am I going to do? This place is scary. With no protection, I am not sure what this world has in store for a young fella like me" he mutters to himself.

He walked over and ducked his head into an alleyway. Skorp sat down behind a dumpster for safety.

As he was riding in the back of his limo downtown for a few meetings he noticed a young thug sneak into an alley and hiding behind a dumpster. StripheCorelli nodded to his driver to stop the car as Striphe exited and walked a bit into the alley, just far enough so he could see the kid, who he looked like he knew but you never could be sure these days.

He nodded to the young man as he walked over and shook his hand, extending his hand to help pull him up from the ground. As he stood up the two of them chatted for a few minutes about life, money and the future.

It had been a dangerous and long few days with a lot of his friends dying or even some of them turning and fighting for the enemy.

StripheCorelli handed over a small stack of cash with directions to his fathers store "Sylence Corner Store"

Listen kid come on by and I will make sure your well fed and we can find you some new clothes and maybe even a cheap old car to get you around town.. if you want

Seeing this large man get out of the limousine and walk over to him, Skorp started shaking. Was this his day of reckoning? The man threw him an envelope with $250,000 in it and invited him to his store. Skorp nodded and watched the man leave. Skorp opened the envelope and counted the money. A smile from ear to ear was on the face of Skorp. He got up, dusted himself off, and started walking towards Striphe's corner store.

"I hope I am not walking into a trap" he said under his breath.

As he walked towards his destination he began to think.

"He had done jobs for 14 crews, out of those 14 he only received a verbal invite offer. Some other of his interactions were just a "hi" and they disappear. And many did not contact him at all, nothing."

After thinking to himself, he began to get spooked. Why has this community treated him this way for this long and all of a sudden someone wants to be nice? Skorp shook his head and continued on his way to his destination. Finally arriving at @Striphe's corner store, he walked in and looked for the man who invited him here.

Ravager was browsing in Sylence's Corner Store, when he seen a fellow awkwardly walking into the store... His clothes raggedy and dusty, Ravager knew this man had been living on the streets for some time...

Ravager approaches the fellow and says "hey, what's your name?" To which the fellow replies, "Skorp". Ravager then responds with "you looking a bit down man, here's some cash to get ya back on your feet"  Ravager hands the man $50,000... Skorp responds with "hey, thanks you don't have to, turns out its my lucky day".  Ravager then says, "nah man keep it, money is fast in these days...".  He continues with "word of advice though, if you are looking to get into the gangster lifestyle, it might be quite the wait as there was just a big war that happened between the families recently".  He goes on with "but I think the mayor's are holding their own gang recruitment specially for the inexperienced folks like yourself; I would try reaching out to one of them".

Ravager then collects his items walks to the checkout pays and before he exits he turns to Skorp and says "Good luck, these streets aren't easy". Ravager then proceeds out the door and goes about his business.
