What is that thing in your life that you consider to be your highest good that orientates yourself and your actions in the world -- the thing that you aim for like an arrow pointed at a target?

I have been mulling this over in my head recently and I have been trying to pinpoint what exactly is the thing I am aiming to hit.  What am I willing to give my life towards or bet my life on?  I am leaning towards something like I am aiming for reciprocal altruism nested in a spirit of hierarchical harmony/unity.

I would like to hear from some other people on what their highest good is?
