The wind was moving northwest and blowing just enough to make a jacket required, not just a fashion statement. The man stepped from the shadow of the alley revealing first his chiseled jaw and bulging muscles that give that first impression of attractiveness. After a moment its clear, 5/10 at best with a deceptive physical build. Butterface 100%. He cleared his throat, wiped his chin, and swallowed his excessive saliva before speaking. 

The excessive saliva was still an issue causing him to slur the first few words. 

Whaaaat wwwweee...

Swallows, again.

Sorry, I always make way to much spit. The doctor says it has something to do with a swollen gland but I typically just ignore everything he says. Anyway, I'm here to talk about bacon. I can't think of a more appropriate item to use as a metaphor when discussing topics that don't go down easy as bacon cures all, at least for me. And self criticism is a topic that is if not the top, towards the top of the list for things that most people, especially me, don't want to discuss or even think about if preference is an option. 

Do we truly believe we know what is best at all times or do we merely enjoy the taste of bacon and continue to chase that savory perfection? We have long held traditions, beliefs, rules, parlance, say so, whatever you want to call it, we've always done many things exactly the same for many years simply because it works. I ask a simple question: Just because it works does that make it the best?

I appreciate any who indulge my pondering.

Furio listened to the man intently. He got a bit lost with the ramblings about bacon but thought the man posed an interesting question. He waited for One to finish his speech before speaking.

Thank you, One. It is refreshing to see someone bring an insightful question to these streets. Ironically it fits the topic of your question quite well. People have debated on the street corners since the beginning of time, a tradition we continue to embrace. Perhaps we should stop?

On a serious note though, our thing is based upon tradition, a code of honour and respect passed down through the generations. It has varied over the years in places, there seem to be less men and women of honour these days but I am unsure as to the reason for these changes. Perhaps someone else would like to weigh in?

The question of whether or not traditional is best is an interesting one but it rather depends on what you (or others) would propose to change? The grass often seems greener but you still have to mow it.
