If you live in the states and plan on voting in person this news piece applies to everyone regardless of who you are voting for. Upon completion of checking in you will be taken to your voting booth. If there is ANY markings whatsoever on the ballot, they hand you, politely hand it back and request another one with no handwritten markings. They must oblige. A marked ballot could very well discount your vote.

PS If by chance you are denied another ballot. Do not argue. Find a poll watcher/lawyer who will be present. They will get you situated with a quickness. 

Sad but very true statement.   I am going to try and watch and see if my parents vote, as they both are dead one for over 4 years now other 2 years, but are still on the voting list as eligible.

I'm probably no where near invested in to politics as I probably should be. They say 1 vote makes the difference but out of the millions of other voters I find it hard to make the jump to commit to going and spending over an hour of my time to wait in line and vote...

I hear you Dak_ and there are many feeling the same way. I assure you not voting is a vote for Harris. And in 2028 millions of votes will be imported should she win in 2024.  I'm not feeling that one. Many countries around the world have shifter to the right which speaks volumes in itself. :P

Trump accused Ted Cruz of beating him in an Iowa caucus by using "fraud."

“Ted Cruz didn’t win Iowa, he illegally stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong any [sic] why he got more votes than anticipated. Bad!” Trump tweeted Wednesday morning. The tweet disappeared within minutes of posting and was replaced by with another that no longer included the word “illegally.”

He followed up with an ultimatum: “Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified,” he tweeted. Trump said later Wednesday that he’ll likely sue. “I probably will; what he did is unthinkable,” he said during an interview with Boston Herald Radio."

Trump also preemptively accused Clinton and the Dems of "rigging" the 2016 election, saying there was "large scale voting fraud" about to take place in the presidential election that he won.  Trump made these allegations months before the vote took place 

I am not from the USA, and have never voted there.  But I think if a guy starts cries "fraud" from the beginning of his bid for president, thej that dramatically reduces the credibility of his third allegation of fraud, the 2020 presidential election.

I don't think I'm someone with 'Trump Derangement Syndrome" but I think he's got a track record of throwing accusations of fraud around when he loses, or fears he's going to.

I don't like trump and I don't even come from the US. Let's just say I hope he don't get in after he all the bad press he has given the people.

lol I am not surprised at all by your answer. Honestly, vote who you want if you can vote, but its important you not only vote but get some sort of knowledge about actual policies and behaviors. 

When voting in person I'm just glad it's not illegal to hand people water that are standing in line in my state unlike the "other" more southern states where it is illegal in some places.  Mainly in the more poorer parts where they are more likely to vote blue.  I don't think I want to live in that kind of environment, call me crazy.

This was changed  in some states actullay last year. You are right though unsure how anyone could vote blue this year with the last four years we have had. Cannot wait for trump to take office. 

This recent election was definitely a movement. One for the history books. Our goal was to get 100,000 poll watchers and we succeeded to well over 200,000. 

Everyone in the Senate and House are under a microscope in preparations for midterms. There will not be a low turnout on that election. Every seat in the House is up for grabs and last I knew 34 seats in the Senate. 

As long as we are on the topic of voting, I would like to express how vital it is to vote on the local level. School board elections as well. Even if you do not have children in school. 

I'll vote for anyone who keeps those filthy commies from the seats of power. If my name isn't Joseph R. McCarthy.
