I grew up far away from the US, so I think we got older episodes and after a while I stopped watching new ones but for me...

Undertaker, Randy Orton, Cena and Rey Mysterio. In no way, shape or form it is a list of the best. But those are the ones that marked my childhood. I also liked Stone Cold and Triple X and Shawn Michaels, but those above are the ones that I watched the most so to say.

I've changed my mind I'm sorry I didn't take it seriously before. My new answer with more thought and ideas used are

of course I am assuming the last 2 have many more years of greatness to go.

Two notes here:

1) I'm going strictly by showmanship, because I am talking WWF/WWE here and it's entertainment, and

2) I'm not quite as old as my answers imply, my favorites are nostalgic because of watching wrestling on Saturday mornings with my Daddy when I was little.

That being said:

1. Rowdy Roddy Piper

2. Bret Hart

3. Bob Orton and Randy Orton

4. Sting

5. Andre the Giant

6. Iron Sheik

I stopped watching wrestling when wcw went away. So I’m not a pure fan but I would say my favorite four would be 

1. Hulk Hogan

2. Sting

3. The Rock

4. Shawn Michaels 

I've spent way too much time thinking about this fantastic question, and I'm still unsure of my answer, but here goes. As a disclaimer, I grew up watching mostly WWF/E, with some WCW thrown in during the height of the Monday Night Wars. (I was a sucker for Crow Sting battling the nWo.) My list will reflect my personal history for the most part, and is in no particular order.

1. Hulk Hogan - He's not a great human being and should probably say a few more prayers and eat a few less vitamins, but there's no denying his impact on the wrestling world and beyond. He gets bonus points for one of the best heel turns ever, trading in the red and yellow for the black and white.

2. Ric Flair - Lotta points for longevity at the top of the card and being a 16 time world champ. Not my favorite wrestler by any stretch, but you can't think of wrestling without Flair coming to mind. The robes, the charisma, ring skills and a lot more make him one of the best to ever step in the ring.

3. The Undertaker - One of the best and most iconic characters ever. Reinvented himself fairly successfully multiple times. Ran the locker room and maintained kayfabe until the end. Great entrances. A Wrestlemania win streak that will never be topped. 

4. Shawn Michaels - My all-time favorite. One of the best ever in the ring, from a technical and storytelling standpoint. Kind of a jerk in the mid to late 90s, but redeemed himself during his second run in the 2000s and through his continued work behind the scenes training the new guys. Sings his own theme song. First to win the Royal Rumble from the #1 spot. First to do a lot of things, actually. Mr. Wrestlemania.

Honorable mentions to John Cena, Stone Cold, Andre and Bruno Sammartino

well seeing as how i grew up during the attitude era of wrestling atleast one of my choices here are gonna be a personal favorite and the rest in my opinion goats. First up You got stone cold steve austin, next up the undertaker, third is bitch to decide because who do ya go with? the rock? I feel thats to easy, Ric? thats undeniable arguement, piper? macho man? how about a commentator? Jim Fucking Ross. I grew up watching him wear that cowboy hat and comment the "fights" he is a voice of a wrestling generation. and last this is my personal favorite but you have to respect the fact this crazy fuck would do front flips off 30ft cages and ladders through tables and all and im talking about the man Jeff Hardy
