It was a fairly good day for Red as it were, and as he finished up his midnight snack he decided to hold a lottery for those who wished to take a stab at making some extra cash for their boss. Tossing his yogurt cup in the trash he burped and lit a cigarette, donning his coat and grabbing his keys before making his way to his car. Driving downtown and circling the block for a few minutes he found a corner that seemed to have some activity on it and approached the group of people excitedly.

Hello hello! It's not too terribly often I find myself in the mood to come speak in public, I prefer stalking the Business District and the walls inside my HQ, however a thought came to me this evening and I couldn't pass it up. With the recent fall of cities, we also saw an even more upsetting factor... A lack of establishments to go and spend your money in!

Now I know what you're thinking... This guy's getting a casino?! Sadly, no. My resources aren't yet that well off that I have the money required to open a Casino, however I do have something that will let you gamble a bit of your money in hopes to make it grow!

Now our streets have seen this before, but it's been quite some time indeed. What I offer to you all today is a lottery, one where you do not have to be in the same pool as everyone else such is the one set by our Gods. There shall be three separate types, low stakes, regular stakes, and high rollers. The numbers for each category are already set and locked away in another place (Back Alley) as to ensure no cheating when the time comes to draw winners.

Low stakes - In this category there shall be 50 tickets, 1-50, for the cost of $10,000 per ticket, max of 5 tickets per gambler (Not to be included in the max tickets for other categories). Quite simple, pick the right number and win! The winner shall receive $475,000.

Regular stakes - In this category there shall be 75 tickets, 1-75, for the cost of $25,000 per ticket, max of 10 tickets per gambler (Not to be included in the max tickets for the other categories). In this category there shall be two winners, and yes, you can win both if you pick the right numbers! The winners shall each receive $900,000.

HIGH ROLLER - Here's where the real fun is as it's the chance to win multiple times, for larger amounts. There will be FIVE winners in this category, and yes, you can win more than once! There shall be 100 tickets, 1-100, for the cost of $50,000 a ticket, with NO MAX on how many tickets you may purchase. Each winner will be receiving a crisp $975,000 per winning number.


Here's how it's going to work... I already have all the winning numbers picked, all you have to do is wire me your money for each ticket along with what stakes you wish to partake in, and the number you wish to choose. I will be updating you all on which numbers are taken as they are purchased, so right here's the spot to be to keep tabs! This shall remain open until the numbers are filled, however if one category closes before the other, I will be announcing the winner once the last ticket of that category is sold, and be sending out the prize money accordingly.

No offense, but you want people to send you millions of their hard earned dollars and hope, in true mobster fashion, you do not stab them in the back?

What if you happen to have a gun malfunction, or some rogue officer decides to gun you down? 

Does a spin on one leg and smiles a million-dollar-smile. 

But don't let me talk anyone out of it. I'm neither of the two will happen, just saying aloud what everyone is thinking within. 

Also, the fact that there is nothing that guarantees 100% that the number is picked at random and not whispered into anybody's ear before the numbers get sold out.

I do believe this is why it's called "gambling" folks. Don't come out here and slander my good name by suggesting I would tip the scales by revealing the number beforehand, I am a button man of this thing of ours and a trusted RHM in the fine city of New Orleans. The idea of my gun malfunctioning or being gunned down however is a legitimate concern, one that I hope to cover with this offer - for those who do not feel comfortable sending their money to me, I can offer to have my Crew Leader, or even GodFather hold the money if this puts peace to your qualms.

I never slandered your "good name" ... and a trusted RHM? Like wearing that title exempts you from being a slimey guy?? I'm not assuming you are one of these fellows, but you never know. 

What's the benefit for you hosting such an event? Publicity? Surely a button man of this thing of ours and a trusted RHM in the fine city of New Orleans doesn't need any further publicity. Profit? No, that's not it either - you even offered to give the millions to your Crew Leader to hold in case you met an untimely death. Thoughtful of you to offer such a business to the public, free of charge with much less risk than what is already offered to us.

Personally, I'll stick to playing the lottery offered by the Gods.

Clearly you're not too terribly good at math sir, or you'd have noticed that in fact yes, I do make a small profit off of this. The idea behind this was to not have one large pot as is the case with the Gods choice of lottery style, rather to offer smaller ones to those who aren't able to gamble as much. And as I'm sure you've noted, I am offering more than one person a chance to win, without having to wait a week as is such with the Gods lotto. To anyone else out there who wishes to stick with the 100% safe and secure way to most likely lose your money, go for it! I hold no grudges against those who wish to be extra cautious with their money, it is after all very important.

Just pointing out the lack of explicit guarantees is hardly slandering. All we're saying, in other words, is that all this deends on your name and reputation but really has no back up that we can see. You kind of back up what I'm saying by mentioning your own status within our ranks like that is enough for people to trust you.

I'm not saying they shouldn't. I'm just saying that you are telling us that your position is enough guarantee.

I think he means we'd be gambling by sending him our money, hoping he doesn't run off with it.

..or maybe he means gambling by playing the actual game :)

To you Abel, both things are gambling in my humble opinion. "Gambling" to me by definition is taking a chance, whether it be with your life, your money, or your chances of winning, that is not a guarantee. As you pointed out, no, my rank amongst the shadier shade of the law is not a 100% guarantee that I will not run off with the money as you put it, however I do believe my willingness to have a more prominent holder shows that I will work with the people. I don't wish to turn this into any more of a debate here though, for it takes away from the lottery itself.

Ragnarok - You're wrong about that if I might be so bold to say so. It's not "perfect", if I were under the intentions of "scamming" people out of their money, I wouldn't have blatantly stated that yes, I do get a very small percent of the winnings for setting this up. While we're on the matter, if those were my intentions, I could almost guarantee I can think of many other more effective ways to get money from the public. Again however, that is not my intention. My intentions were, and are, to bring a little life to the streets which we have certainly seen, so I in sincerity instead of the mockery you show, do applaud you folks for doing such.
