A black limousine pulls up slowly and stops in the center of the cordoned off square. The driver exited into the brisk autumn day and walked around to the rear passenger door. Quickly he opens the door for Allie. As she gets out and is immediately greeted by Keith, the greatest of all time goats and longtime “roommate” to Sniffler. 

Following behind Allie is a well-dressed SantoRubio. He placed his hand on the small of her back and leaned in and whispered something to Allie, who masked her sadness with a small smile. She paused for a moment to collect herself before beginning to speak to the crowd that was forming waiting for her arrival. 

"Greetings my fellow New Yorkers and friends from far and wide,

I come before you today with a profound sadness and grief over the loss of my mentor and friend, Godfather Chairman of New York, Sniffler. He was an extraordinary anteater; I was among many who had the honor to call him a friend. His death leaves a hole in many hearts and the entire city of New York. He was a leader of men and goats alike and if it were not for him I and many others would not be the person or the leaders they are today.

Despite our desire to sit in memory of our fallen friend, we must continue to look to the future and continue on his legacy here in New York. I will be moving into Brooklyn to take over as Godfather Chairman where the late great Sniffler left off; Godfather Kairi will remain in control of Queens and Sven will take over operations in the Bronx. We will carry on his wish to see New York continue to thrive and grow. 

I am looking forward to working with leaders in this thing of ours near and far, strengthening the bonds of allies and building new friendships.

After finishing her statement she turns to Santo, sharing a cheeky wink at each other and smiling a knowing smile.

Walter was enjoying his first drink in some time since his favorite establishment closed so suddenly due to recent events. Tonight warranted it, however. A time of mourning and celebration making for a wild mixing of emotions, as most of New York was experiencing at the moment.

Walter's attention was captured as his boss strode into the room, dressed as eloquently as ever. Without a moments hesitation, Walter straightened his coat before grabbing a fresh drink to make his way over to Allie as she took to the impromptu stage set for the occasion. Standing by at the bottom of the stairs, Walter listened to her smooth delivery of shared condolences and affirmations that New York will carry on the legacy that has been shaped by the late Sniffler. His eyes wearily scanned the crowed before a light clapping started signaling the end of her speech.

Walter then turned to face Allie as she made her way down from the stage to begin mingling. His eyes met hers for a moment before he matched her stride at her side.

"Very well delivered, Bosslady. Short and sweet. Really couldn't have said it better myself." He shot her a warm smile before continuing, "We've got a lot of work ahead of us, I am sure, but that can start tomorrow. I think tonight should be a night for relaxation and celebration. You know, shake hands, kiss babies and such." Walter chuckled a bit as he finished, the trio now drawing closer to the first of many groups to socialize with for the evening.

Breathing a sigh of relief for not falling flat on her face Allie greets Walter and SantoRubio who was in a friendly conversation with his longtime friend Ginger with a brilliant smile and says, "Come on boys lets break out the good stuff and get down to the business of a night of drinking and reminiscing of our fallen leader Sniffler for tomorrow the real work begins"

Lucy couldn't help but recognize a voice speaking to the masses. She stopped and listened to Allie, the new Godfather Chairman of New York, speak about the future of New York after the untimely death of Sniffler, previous Godfather Chairman of New York. After Allie was done, Lucy went to her and extended a hand to greet.

"Allie, I look forward to what you will do with New York. I have no doubt you are the right person to step up and continue to allow New York to prosper in the glory!" she said.

"Congratulations!"

Allie takes Lucy 's hand and lightly squeezes as she shakes it, smiling and tells her how much she appreciates her taking time away from her busy schedule to attend. They continue to chat quietly for a few minutes before Walter joins them and whispers something in Allie's ear, Allie politely excuses herself and allows Walter to whisk her away through the crowded room. 

I am sorry that it’s under these circumstances GFC Allie but congratulations.  There is nothing but fond memories about you and the late GFC @Sniffer in my family journals.  I hope New York continues to prosper and flourish under your leadership.

Allie wipes away a tear at the mention of the late GFC Sniffler, he was truly a legend and left his mark on so many lives she tells Ghita I will do my best to bring honor to his memory. 

As his plane arrived in New York, he took each step down towards the concrete slowly as it has been a long night. As he paused and look around the tarmac he could see multiple limos lined up and people he recognized from years back all waiting to go together downtown. StripheCorelli noticed the new Godfather Chairman was busy mingling with the most important people so he took his time to be able to talk to her. As he walked up he handed over a large assortment of roses and a card for the late Godfather Sniffler along with a box of cigars and some of the finest wine he could grab from his corner store in Philadelphia 

Godfather Chairman Allie it will be a real honor to do business with such an esteemed mobster, even if the circumstances behind our good friend Godfather Sniffler's death are so shocking. The City of New York will continue to expand and be a shining light to mobsters from across the nation because of talent like you. I wish you congratulations and hope to see you more often.

Striphe took a deep breath and looked around, he could smell the box of cigars faintly as he smiled  

Allie smiles and thanks Godfather StripheCorelli for his kind words, lovely roses and the wine and cigars. I am looking forward to expanding operations to our mutual benefits for both of our cities. Godfather Chairman Sniffler spoke highly of you and had the utmost respect for you. I am sure we will have a long and prosperous friendship. I will have to drop by one day and visit you and these famous chats. Sniffler spoke highly of them.

Unfortunate, indeed.  Good luck with control of the city Allie.  I am sure that you will do wonderful things!!
