Hiro Dogs Started by: Hirostev on Oct 15, '24 19:47

Hirostev always enjoyed the simple joy of eating a hot dog on-the-go during his day-to-day commute on foot before he got into the "business" or pulling of heists and dealing drugs. He would head off to work for a night shift and would stop by and grab a hot dog from a local vendor at the time and eat it on the way in.

Hirostev had saved up a big nest egg of money and thought that he'd open up his own hot dog stand in the streets of Bricktown and offer the service to those who wanted to enjoy a hot dog during their commute. He bought a used hot dog stand and drafted up a menu on a chalk board. He laid out a condiment station and got his buns ready. He would make the hot dogs to order so that way customers can enjoy a fresh Hiro Dog.

On the chalk board, he listed the hot dogs for a nickel and awaited customers:

Hiro Dogs - $.05

Toppings at no charge (includes ketchup, mustard, mayo, sauerkraut, onions, relish)

"Holy moly, this must be my lucky day", Monkey thought to himself.

5 cent hotdogs! was what the sign read and he was pretty hungry this late in the afternoon.

Monkey wasn't picky about his snacks but he did love a good street hotdog.

The toppings looked fresh too; this was a nice surprise and he would stuff his belly.

His boots clomped as he walked up to the truck stand; his hand already digging in his pocket for his wallet.

"I'll have three dogs, two with ketchup, onion and relish and one with kraut and mustard".

The man made his hot dogs very nicely and wrapped them up individually and placed them in a paper bag.

Monkey tipped the man $5 and thanked him before heading on his way to the airport.

He was glad he would not have to eat the plane peanuts now.

Aberama had just finished doing a few pickups and drops, his stomach was starting to growl and make a fuss at him. It was a long day in motor city and it still wasn't close to being over. Just needing a little pick me up Abe rounded the corner and saw a hotdog vendor on the side of the street. He'd felt his spirits begin to rise.

He tossed out his cigarette as it quickly became his turn in line.

"I'd like two of your biggest dogs please, both with ketchup and mayo only."

Abe pulled out a dollar and handed it to the man. Keep the change."

Hirostev had a great start so far with his new hot dog venture. He was very glad to see the happy customers that enjoyed the speed of service and knew he made the right decision in opening his hot dog stand.

After enjoying some time to himself at Chalmers Park, Dynamite felt his hunger pang in his stomach. His heightened sense of smell led him to a nearby hot dog stand where he saw a bunch of condiments laying on the counter.

"One hot dog please," Dynamite said. Then he felt his stomach rumble and mouth water. "Actually, make that two, add ketchup and sauerkraut."

Dynamite paid the man and walked off, scarfing down both hot dogs and sighing in relief.

A Silent Encounter
A lone figure, Lenny Kramer, strolls down the bustling street. His eyes, drawn by the tantalizing aroma of grilled meat, land on Hiro's hot dog stand. A flicker of hunger ignites within him. He approaches the stand, his gaze fixed on the sizzling hot dogs. Hiro, with practiced efficiency, prepares the order. Lenny watches, mesmerized by the simple act of crafting a meal. A silent understanding passes between them, a shared appreciation for the joy of good food. As Lenny takes the hot dog, a moment of connection occurs. A brief, unspoken gratitude. With a nod, Lenny turns and walks away, the aroma of the hot dog lingering in the air.
