The MR Gazette returns onto the streets of all major cities to give you a look into events that transpired this year. The MR Gazette will now cover the years crime related news. It also will now have a section titled "Godfathers Corner" written by our own, Striphe Corelli. More writers are expected to join the Gazette and will hopefully have articles by next print.

Coconut Grove Tragedy

An assassination attempt leavesone dead, several injured and the target himself, untouched. Joe Adonis was leaving the Coconut Grove Nightclub in Brooklyn when two gunman opened fire before running. Adonis managed to escape while one of his associates, wiseguy Tony Teller was left dead. This attempt on Adonis, a Capo in the Genovese Crime Family is just another in the ongoing struggle within the organization. The Coconut Grove has been an up and coming popular nightclub since Adonis and his business partner Tupac took over. Tupac, alleged Right Hand Man of The Talon Circle, a well known crime syndicate in Summerlin, LV. Reporters were not able to reach him as of writing this for a comment. Authorities are concerned this attempt will escalate the ongoing Genovese power struggles. Thomas F. McGowan, Brooklyn Police Chief made this statement, "...we will continue to battle against organized crime and win.". Many are doubtful of the departments capabilities as crime has been on a worrisome rise recently, especially violent and organized crime.

Gentle Don Indicted

Angelo Bruno, known as "The Gentle Don", boss of the Philadelphia Crime Family was indicted on charges including extortion, loan sharking, and racketeering. George S. Bender, attorney for Bruno, made this comment today, "These allegations against Mr. Bruno are nothing more than a collection of rumors and speculation. He is a businessman dedicated to his community, and any claims of wrongdoing are baseless and unfounded.". This Indictment by the FBI is designed to dismantle the rising organized crime power of Philadelphia. Vittorio "Gopher" Lorenzetti is now suspected Godfather-Chairman of Philadelphia during these legal times. Not much is known about Vittorio, besides doing 3 years at Eastern State Penitentiary for extortion when he was 19, his many other arrests have lead to dismissals or non guilty verdicts and is known as a prominent businessman in Philadelphia. More to come as the trial unfolds.

Chicago's Continued Violence

The body of William "Billy" McCarthy was discovered in a shallow grave near Melrose Park, IL. Power struggles in Chicago's underworld continue to threaten the safety of all citizens. It is alleged that Billy was murdered by rival faction leaders as his growing influence was seen as a threat. Detectives have questioned numerous suspects including attempting to question a prominent businessman in South Side Chicago. Martin Manzella, a well known figure in the area but suspected of having mob connections. Many believe Martin is actually a high ranking member of the South Side Outfit. His attorney, Joseph DeMarco claims his client was out of town during said events. DeMarco is known for representing multiple members of Chicago's Outfit. As of yet authorities have made no arrests.

"I am not a gangster!"

Frank Costello, alleged mob boss took the stand in the Kefauver Hearings today. The hearing, led by first-term senator Estes Kefauver of Tennessee has attempted to bring organized crime to light. Costello was repeatedly asked about his criminal connections and how he has gained his wealth to which Costello claims, "I am not a gangster". The hearing has yet to uncover anything ground breaking, many people have testified but have simply invoked the fifth amendment, refusing to answer questions that may incriminate them. The crimes they were asked about included but wasn't limited to prostitution, gambling, unions, rackets, drugs and violent crimes. Other notable suspected members of organized crime besides Costello to testify today were, Joseph Ligambi, alleged Godfather in LA, and alleged Bronx, NY Godfather Allie Angel, both of whom plead the fifth to every question the committee asked. Senator Kefauver didn't take questions after the hearing today, frustrated. The hearing has raised a lot of questions but has yet led to indictments.

Sniffler killed after hanging out with Striphe's Cats

In the early morning on Oct 13th Godfather Sniffler (Chairman) from New York was brutally gunned down by Don Jack_Rooney. The evidence was clear and the motive mostly clear but what was not clear and people asked "What the Sniffler doing the night before??". I have good reason to believe Godfather Sniffler spent his last night playing with my 20 cats and eating Chinese food at my mansion in Philadelphia, before he left to do lord knows what after I passed out with cocaine and hookers and next thing you know he was murdered. 

Stories from the slammer

Fuckin' RICO, my left hand man (LHM), ghosts and a little thing called gambling addiction. It was just about a week ago that I was in my office when the fuckin feds barged in and took my LHM and myself into custody. I had got word from my LHM that he had been doing some shady things with financial crimes, gambling and his alter ego. I had to spend a day in the slammer without my swimming pool, hookers or cocaine and we hope my LHM is surviving his sentence. The food is shit, the guards as assholes and I was glad to be out. 

Bursting at the seems

Where the hell are we going to put these new criminals when they arrive on shore? I see boats daily and people walking across the nation to look for better work and we will provide! I spoke to one man on the street as he was hustling to work and he said " We need to expedite these damn construction permits and get some new HQ's build so people can go anywhere they want". We will work to get information on construction plans and get back to you in the next edition! 

Amazing. Six paragraphs make up a newspaper these days. There's more space between the 'articles' than the space that the articles take up.

Eh - he outyped/outworked the both of us in his article.  I say good on him.  

Grabs the front page from the newspaper and slowly tears it apart from the rest of the newspaper, being careful not to tear apart his section. Taking a minute or so to crumble it into a loose ball he threw the rest of the newspaper back onto the table while walking up to the dead body of CrrepyLittleGothGirl he shoved the ball of paper into the throat of the corpse, spitting at the same time before walking off
