A month in, and Luna was still feeling the pressure of fitting into the family.

She was tasked with something seemingly simple today - money collection. Little did she know, she was in for a treat. Or trick. The door to Raph's Meats felt heavier than usual as she pushed it open and suddenly came face to face with the owner of the establishment. Raphaelle, or Raph, as others would call him. Luna's nerves braced for whatever resistance might come from him today.

Luna cleared her throat as she tightened her grip on the briefcase. The instructions that Crow gave to her were clear. Full payment - no exceptions. Raph apparently had plenty of time to come up with the money so she knew that this moment was long overdue. She was on her own for this one, usually she had someone to back her up on things like these but it was time to ride solo. Luna, however, was still learning the finesse of walking into a place like she owned it, even if every pair of eyes that met hers said she didn't belong. 

"I never seen you before," Raph muttered. He looked annoyed. 

"Sorry, usually my boss Don Crow would come to see you but he has more important things to worry about than waste his time trying to get money out of you. Let's quit stalling and please if you could just offer up the payment that's required of you. Then I'll go on my merry way," she firmly replied. Her voice was steady, which she was surprised by. 

"You got the payment?" Luna repeated herself, becoming slowly irritated. 

The man sighed, glanced over his shoulder at the closed door behind him. It was his office, and out came a lady with thick-framed glasses holding a briefcase. Luna could see the lady's reluctance and almost wanted to tell her that Luna understood, that she knew what it felt like to sacrifice something you've worked so hard for. But the words never came.

Instead, Luna leaned forward and whispered in a low voice like she had seen her uppers do. "The family doesn't forget favours. Just hand over the briefcase and you can keep yourself on the good side."
