This Thing of Our has together witnessed the newsworthy over the past two months and it’s our pleasure to continue presenting you with the haps of today and chronicle them for reflection in yesteryear's. We’d like to thank you for your continued subscription, comments and feedback. In the coming weeks we’d like to introduce contests to enhance public participation. JESSEJAMES LAID TO REST

January 24th 12:33 am, a time which leaves an ominous memory burnt into the minds of Chicagoans and mobsters across the nation. JesseJames, godfather of Chicago, who almost month ago was celebrating another year of crime was the victim of a fatal gun malfunction. JesseJames like his late father continued with his roots in Chicago, serving late Godfather’s Roman and SexyBeast before taking the reins following their passing. The funeral procession and arrangements were extensive.
“You've been one of the most loyal friends here for years now...”
“It was an honour to work for you.”
“You will never be forgotten, not by me, and I will do my best to make sure no one else forgets you either. Goodbye my friend. I hope that your soul rests in peace. I'll miss you.”
Were among the kind words expressed at Mr. James’ funeral. On behalf of Mafioso Tradizione we offer our mutual condolences to the friends and family JesseJames and thank him again post mortem for his participation and patronage of the paper. Rest in peace.
SINFEST OCCUPIES THE CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE

Philadelphia has been empty and outside La Cosa Nostra’s influence since deaths of LottaBEssen and Pharol. This changed of course when Sinfest came to the streets announcing the beginnings of Viva La Resistance. Sinfest started his journey in organized crime working for Dementor in the Big Apple. In the wake of the war that brought about the deaths of Roman and Premeir, Sinfest was welcomed into New Orleans by then godfather Kimble, joining Cadoras, and following his retirement, Stamina’s personal crew. It is from godfather Stamina that Sinfest received the official nod and blessing and many more well-wishes from friends and colleagues. On behalf of Mafioso Tradizione - congrats!
LAS VEGAS: A WEEK IN REVIEW

The past couple days have been momentous and Las Vegas is no exception.
Last Thursday, Goodfellas annouched his bid for a piece of Sin City and established a crew, the UnderWorld. Several days after the start of his prospect, Goodfellas was victim to a botched assassination attempt by ChampagneSupernova. Several of Goodfellas’ bodyguards weren’t as fortunate. After the heat cooled, Goodfellas arranged a sitdown and ceasefire with Mr. Supernova, to ensure the continued survival of his soldiers.
This Sunday, Mr. Supernova and ranking members of his organization were gunned down. Rumored to be connected to the affairs with Goodfellas.
In addition to the bloodshed already mentioned; -Grizzly-, head of the Las Vegas Moonshiners and the entirety of his crew were gunned down in the reprisal of the murders of MichaelBali and RyanChandley, both agents of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics. Both officers is suspected to be linked to elements of organized crime. Agent Daniel Meehan denied the rumors and upheld that FBN employees are of the highest order of integrity.
CREWLEADER SPOTLIGHT
Introducing the newest addition to the city of brotherly love, SINFEST
Sal_Giaquinto: So, Mr. Sinfest - you've been around for a while now. Outliving most, have you always aspired to be a crewleader?
Sinfest: Actually no. This is my bloodline ever. I didn’t think I would have the chance.
Sal_Giaquinto: Well, it's evident within your own experience that newer bloodlines can reach the glories of becoming a crewleader. So, do you reckon you'll be alone in Philly or expecting any company?
Sinfest: Well I am not one to give other people's secrets but I am pretty sure I won’t be the only one in Philly for long
Sal_Giaquinto: Ahh, Omerta - I like you already. Sal laughs

Sal_Giaquinto: Well, you've started up your own family and I suspect your recruiting, what are you looking for in terms of members?
Sinfest: Well, I am a big fan of people who are open and honest. People who don’t mind getting their nails dirty, and people who have a bit of respect for their fellow man. I am not huge on quitters and people who have a biased opinion about life. I also love people who know how to laugh and make me laugh
Sal_Giaquinto: Sounds pretty balanced. You've seen a lot in your life so far and I'm glad your experiences haven’t jaded you. Sal smiles

Sinfest: I have seen too many good people become jaded and it never ends well
Sal_Giaquinto: Indeed, keep smiling I always say. Our next question: With the passing of some notable mafioso's we've seen a spree of disrespect within the Funeral homes. How do you feel about this?
Sinfest: Well lets go with what I have told my crew members instead of being a douche why not take the death of someone you don’t like like this: Instead of disrespect just think - your alive, they aren’t. No need to disrespect them.
Sal_Giaquinto: Sinfest, there are plenty of examples of prime leaders; living and throughout history. Could you name a leader whether they be a Mafioso or a historical figure, whose leadership style you'd like to adopt and why?

Sinfest: I know this sounds like kissing ass, but Stamina has been probably the crew leader I would love to be more like. He has taught me things that I am forever grateful knowing and has shown me that no matter what situation comes about you can keep your cool and get the job done. Now that he’s a godfather, just proves to me - that his crewleader style works.

Sinfest: Don’t let others dictate what you can and can’t achieve. I am the first of my bloodline and look where it got me. This could be you too with patience and hard work. PATIENCE is KEY

ThirdSun: First and foremost, I would like to congratulate you on your recent Don promotion. You have definitely worked hard and have shown excellent leadership skills. My first question to you is what do you look for in a person before you want them to become a part of your outfit?
Monet: Thank you. Well, the first thing I look for in people is that they're going to be active members of my family, and are open to communication
M: As in, willing to come on IRC, willing to talk to me and the rest of my family, not just sitting there
T: What do you look for in a Wise Guy in terms of making them? What separates a Wise Guy from a Made Man in your eyes?
M: To me and my family, what separates them is that they're willing to be vocal in the Streets, know how to earn money, and are willing to be helpful in any way possible.
T: What changes do you anticipate for this new leadership of Chicago?
M: Hmm, well Chicago is a great city and we'll just have to wait and see!
T: Do you feel that PizzaTheHut is a suitable leader for Chicago?
M: Definitely, Pizza has a lot of experience and has been there since the beginning.
T: Will he hold high the statue of Beaderus?
M: He loves Bearderus! So yes!!
T: How long has your family been roaming these streets, Monet? Was your mother Leela the first to land on these shores?
M: You mean my bloodline?
T: Yes
M: No, Leela wasn't the first, it was actually TuMadre who landed here 5-6 years ago.
T: What is your opinion on the new budding cities? (Clarity opening NY, Sinfest in PA, etc)
M: I think it's a good way for families to build new ground.
T: Anticipating a larger Godfather Council as well I assume?
M: That is if they get godfather sometime soon!
T: Who is your BFF in Chicago? (Give you a hint! Name begins with T and ends with hirdSun)
M: ThirdSun?
T: Correct!
M: Hahah
T: Your crew name is Foundation 3.0. Why the 3.0? Is this the third incarnation of "The Foundation" like KingBenny's Cheese Syndicate?
M: Aye, Raptor's crew that took over from SpuffWaffle was the first, then when the poor lad died, MrBrick's crew became 2.0
T: The number 3 is a great number. Very well rounded and comfortable sounding number as in Three Blind Mice, Three Kings or T. Do you agree?
M: I do indeed!

ThirdSun: As the right hand man in the Church of PizzaTheHut - what do you find to be most time-consuming task of helping to manage such a respectable crew?
GTL: Sorting through PizzaTheHut's mail. It takes a lot of time to separate the stuff that is important to our family, and the stuff that is important to the family from the stuff that is let’s say Pizza's personal things. Like things about penile implants, and Asian massages.
T: You have a bloodline of great Mafioso’s - have you learned from their accomplishments & mistakes?
G: Mainly I’ve just learned don't open messages to PizzaTheHut from TipDean entitled "Thanks for last Friday night"
T: Do you enjoy working alongside PizzaTheHut, son of Kong?
G: My family has worked with PizzaTheHut for 3 generations now. He just keeps me coming back for more.
T: What do see for the future of Chicago?
G: Honestly the sky is the limit. We’ve got some pretty smart people in Chicago so I think the statue of Bearderus will be standing for a long time.
T: Who is your favorite crew member? Hint: Begins with "Third" and ends with "Sun" !
G: Hmmm pretty sure I’m gonna get this one wrong then. My love just goes to the highest bidder. Not unlike TipDean's body.
WHISPERS FROM THE CASKET

Reporter ThirdSun hunted down and spoke with esteemed Las Vegas crew leader, Animal and asked him to take out his Ouija board and contact his mum and late Godmother, AlabamaWorley for a brief interview for this week’s special “Whispers From The Casket”.
ALABAMAWORLEY
ThirdSun: What are you feelings on the current state of this thing of ours (and once yours)?
AlabamaWorley: Right now as I peer down from pearly gates (they still won't actually let me into Heaven..) I see exactly what I expected to see. When Roman and Premeir fell, everyone involved knew it was the dawn of a new era, they also knew that in time their lives would end too to allow the new era to grow.
The circumstances of how I died, and the others after me, were never really going to be of any significance. But in order for any new regime to completely move out of the past and into the present requires a complete overhaul of the power structure.
So yeah - what I see now is mostly what I expected to see.
T: How do you feel things have changed since your untimely demise?
AW: Right now, nothing has changed other than those in charge. The people we have at the top right now are not Tyrants; they are simply playing the hand they've been dealt to the best of their ability. Some say JesseJames is blood thirsty killer, these people don't really know him at all. Hopefully in time he will put his stamp on the place in more than just a line of bodies and invoke changes that will better the society as a whole
T: Your son seems to be sincerely helping the evolution of Las Vegas - do you feel he has his mother's knack for leadership?
AW: I'm very pleased for my son, he has been somewhat lucky in that I left him a fair bit of wealth to hire all that protection, its possible with that he might not have lasted as long as he has tbh. I do hope that he'll make a better job of it than I did though, and im sure he's learned from my errors.
T: Is there anything you wish to say to your fallen members of Detroit, their kin or your old associates?
AW: To those that died with me and for me during our days in Detroit, you'll never know how thankful I was for every single member in that city. Life as a leader is often lonely, despite being completely surrounded. Life as a GodFather is even more so. I made the mistake of sitting back and resting on my laurels and I take the full blame for the demise of the city, I hope those that gave their lives can forgive me for such a poor end to what was a fun city.
T: Now tell your son to be good for mommy!
AW: Pft, my Son is an Animal! He'll be good for no-one! chuckles

Dear Cassi,
For as long as i can remember, I've wanted the world to know who i am really am. I mean, know the person within, not the hideous exterior portrayed in the news, and about the town. But, no matter what i do, they never truly see me. They see a jester, a monster, someone not worthy of note. A guy who sits atop his bell tower. They don't see the compassion, the love, the poetry, the insatiable appetite for life. Even with my shortcomings, i am so very optimistic in every walk of life. I just want the world to see it to. Help me Cassi!

Unfortunately we live in a society where beauty is only skin deep. Most people do not take the time to get to know the interior of a person after they've judged them by the exterior. However, if you're placing yourself in situations where they have no choice but to get to know you first, you may just get what you're after. Try throwing a masquerade or costume party. Everyone loves an excuse to dress up on days that aren't Halloween! Good luck to you BeautifulSoul! I hope to hear of your progress!

My girlfriend has insisted on knowing things about me that I feel she does not need to know this early in the relationship. Her persistent nagging to learn this information has caused a rift in our relationship and I am concerned that it may lead to us breaking up. I am really fond of our relationship and the last six months have been amazing. How can I convince her that with time she will learn everything about me but right now I'm not ready to tell her some things?

FIRST FAMILY/CREW LEADERS TAKE CITIES
This week saw to the dawn of a new era, hopefully leaving behind the weeks of chaos that have surrounded our world. As Mafioso and Mafiosa opened their eyes to the morning sun on Friday for sale signs were being torn off long vacant buildings and the formation of HQs began. With the demand being so high for real estate the prices of these building sky rocketed. Also affected were the size of these HQs. New bylaws have made it impossible to keep them as large as our ancestors were used to. These days the largest HQ that one can own is limited to 125 members and costs $10,000,000.00.
Many see this as a way to add variety to our lives, others see it as a sign of an upcoming explosion of egos turning into war. Most of the families do not have large homes and are trying to come up with ways to avoid having 36 leaders roaming the streets.
Faced with criticism and distrust these leaders have started to form a basis of our society that will allow for stability and growth. Amidst catcalls and insults they have started to make their way out of their HQ's and into the streets, speaking publicly as often as they can. Most have been busy in the crewleader coffee shop planning for the future. Positions of Acting Godfather are being claimed in hopes that it will bring back the stability so many miss, and avoid the chaos so many others love.
