SeriousMobster waddled into the square and heaved a burlap bag over his shoulder onto a sturdy cargo pallet on the sidewalk. He settled the bag and, feeling satisfied, brushed himself and slicked back his hair to the point of contention. Feeling spiffy, SeriousMobster fixed his collar and brushed his pants to instead dot the floor with some lint and burlap strands. With an internal shrug, he rose a giant yelling cone to his mouth and began: "SELLING BOOTS, GET YOUR BOOTS HERE!" A woman walking by at a brisk pace jumped at the sudden noise from the suited man and stopped to give him a frown before continuing. "They're nice boots, you know," he said to the lady. "The winter season around here really calls for some preparation and if you don't have a good pair of boots, or two, you could find yourself slipping on the sidewalk or losing a shoe in a pile of snow." The lady shook her head and dismissively turned to further on her day, saying: "Most reputable boot salesmen have stalls or shops, and you just have a bag," before passing the salesman and joining other pedestrians elsewhere. Trying to maintain his dignity, SeriousMobster replied: "It's a nice... bag..." before his voice was lost further in the busy hubbub. SeriousMobster snapped his attention to a different passerby and said "Selling boots! Boots for sale!" forgetting to use the giant yelling cone he still carried in his left hand. SeriousMobster cleared his thought and said again, "SELLING BOOTS, GET YOUR BOOTS HERE!" The man stopped mid-stride and turned toward SeriousMobster. "How do I know your boots are good? Are they water proof?" SeriousMobster put down the yelling cone and looked at the man with a grin. "Sir, not only are these boots water resistant, but they are also machine washable. This means that they are effectively blood resistant as well. You know, what with all the dead people in the streets and all." The man nodded and, upon consulting his wallet, decided to pick up a pair before heading home. |

Chuck Bass walked through the shadowed streets of the mafia underworld, his eyes scanning the ominous, bloodstained alleyways. The night was eerily quiet, save for the occasional distant murmur of conversation or the soft scuffle of footsteps. His polished shoes, once a symbol of refined wealth and power, were now soaked in the blood of fallen men—men he hadn't yet learned to fear or respect, but men nonetheless who had succumbed to this dark world. His every step echoed a haunting reminder of the brutality surrounding him. He hadn't been prepared for this life—certainly not in the way his shoes had been. Now, with each footfall, he felt the weight of the bloodied path he'd entered. Chuck saw seriousmobster standing there with a bag of boots hes the kind you wouldn't notice unless you knew exactly where to look. The smell of leather and wax mixed with the musty scent of rain-soaked earth, offering a strange kind of comfort in the midst of his discomfort. His face like a worn-out map of regrets, glanced up, His eyes were sharp, but he said nothing, recognising Chuck for what he was: a newcomer to this violent world, someone who hadn’t yet learned the practicalities of survival. Chuck stepped forward, his blood-soaked shoes leaving dark footprints on his path "Do you have anything… durable?" Chuck asked, his voice cool but edged with frustration. "Something that can withstand, well… this?" He gestured to the carnage on the streets, the blood on his shoes still fresh.. |

"Hello there! These boots have been hand crafted by the finest Swiss cobblers and influenced in style by the likes of Tony Lama and T.O. Stanley." SeriousMobster placed his yelling cone on the ground to lift a pair of boots from the sack. "As you can see, this material has enough flex to fit your size but holds fast to its makers. The platform is form cast and doesn't budge with even a billion steps or hurdles." SeriousMobster ran his hand across the bottom before hitting the side to indicate its strength. He then pulled at the sides a bit to show it doesn't quite budge. "We provide a satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like them, you can always bring them back." SeriousMobster bent his mouth in the form of a smile, while displaying no teeth. "However, it's not to say we can control the weather. Or the climate. Back to your original question... Withstand, sure. Prevent?" SeriousMobster chuckled, tilted his head in a knowing fashion, and held out a pair for the customer. "Perhaps that is an issue for the sanitation department." |
