Omni-Man’s imposing stature and cold demeanour often lead people to believe he’s simply muscle - a towering bodyguard for hire, silently standing sentinel in the shadows. 

But for years Omni-Man has not just been a protector; he has served as the right-hand of Godfather DeadlySin, the criminal overlord who commands Chicago's underworld with a mix of charm, strategy, and lazi… err I mean ruthlessness.

While the Godfather dealt in diplomacy, intrigue, and the occasional show of brutal force, Omni-Man ensured the gears of the operation turned smoothly. His role went far beyond intimidation; he was a confidant. If DeadlySin received mail, Omni-Man read that mail, he then re-sealed that mail and put it back on DeadlySin’s desk. He never told anyone what it said, sometimes he forgot which mail he had opened and read, and repeated this process between two and seven times. But every time he did it, he did it with the same enthusiasm and passion as he did the first time.

While of course there is no denying that Omni-Man’s role in the operation was crucial, and his skills irreplaceable, his position was very swiftly filled by his replacement when he was shown the door yesterday.

Why was Omni-Man shown the door, you ask? Omni-Man had gotten comfortable, he’d enjoyed playing into the misconception of being a non-dependable simpleton, and had thus far avoided any real taxing duties or responsibilities. 

This all changed as war raged across the six cities, and heavy casualties left the land looking for new leaders to rebuild “this thing of ours”. Unfortunately for him everyone else had died, and with everyone else dead there were no volunteers, so Omni-Man was voluntold.

The transition from loyal right-hand to a leader in his own right marks a pivotal moment in Omni-Man’s life and legacy. Omni-Man has been gifted an opportunity that many can only fantasise of: to carve out his own empire in The Loop, Chicago’s bustling heart of power and commerce. When asked how he felt about getting this opportunity, he replied simply, “This is a dream come true!.. Just… not my dream…”

However, Omni-Man embraces the challenge, naming his new syndicate The Sentinels - a reflection of his steadfast nature and his belief in strength through vigilance and order (and certainly not a regurgitation of a family name his ancestors had once used).
