The road from thougth to action was a short one for Luigi. He had been contemplating getting a business going for some time. He knew it was about selling booze to thirsty souls, that much had been clear from the start, but he needed some sort of front. A legitimate business that could hide his speakeasy. Some sort of front were people would come and go without raising suspicion.

Then suddenly lightning striked. His associate from Godfather Nuccios merry band in motor city, SeriousMobster was selling of fine leather boots in the streets. High quality boots for high end men. This was it, Shoes dammit Shoes, that was the perfect cover. The speakeasys front was gonna be a shoestore. 

Luigi spent a day looking around for a decent location, a place with nigthlife activity, but also a place were he didnt step on another guys feet. Having found the rigth place. a small front room with big windows for the shoestore and a big backroom for the speakeasy, the next step was clear. He invited Godfather Nuccio to come see the shop. What he needed now was the godfathers blessing, and Luigi knew how to get it. The bar was loaded with highbrand whiskey and a trio of redhead ladies was ready to give the Godfather just that kind of attention that would make his mood light and make things go smooth.

But Luigi needed one more thing. A reliable guy who could keep things safe and make sure the customers didnt make trouble. Someone tough and quick to violence. And he knew just who that was. Luigi sent a boy with a message for LennyKramer to come over to the shoestore Asap. 

This was gonna be a great place and make loads and loads of cash for the Familia and for Luigi.

Seeing that LennyKramer had arrived Luigi went over to great him.

Hello Lenny, well meet. I need you to keep an eye on my backroom operation here. As you can see we serve liquid happiness for the thirsty souls of motorcity. Also i have a trio of girls working here and i dont want anyone to become rough with my bunnies.

Even as Luigi was speaking a situation arose in one of the booths of the establishment, a drunk man was yelling at one of the girls and she was trying to get out of the corner she was caugth in...Luigi blinked at Lenny and and moved towards the culprit, just as the two mobster came close the drunk man took a swing at the girl. Luigis hand caugth the mans arm stopping his swing and immidietly after Luigis fist connected to his face several times. As he fell back in his seat Luigi learned in on him and said in a calm voice.

Be nice to my girls or your not welcome here another time.

Luigi blinked at Lenny and smiled.

Keep an eye on this lad, if he acts up again throw him out.

The business was booming. Loads of thirsty customer was finding their way to Luigis speakeasy in the backroom of the shoestore.Beer and whiskey was flowing one way and money the other right into Luigis pockets and onwards to fuel the activities of the criminal network that he was a part of. 

But the funny thing was, Luigi was more drawn towards the shoestore part of the business. Even if it had just started as a front for the speakeasy Luigi was spending more and more time chosing fine Italian leather shoe to sell in the store. He was beign fascinated by the selction of class footwear and he was now considering branching into womens footwear too. He had allready started importing long highhealed boots that he made his working girls wear when he tested their abilities before he hired them to work the speakeasy. Last he had recoed some shiny white knee long beautys and he was hoping for a young redhead or blonde to come look for work so he could see them on.

Oh well it wouldnt be long. His place had a good reputation amoungst the working girls. His customers was upper class and the security in the place topnotch, noone touched one of Luigis girls and lived to tell about it without a fat lip and some blue eyes.

There was a place in Detroit that had been gaining quite the reputation, a place Frank had been eager to visit ever since he moved to the city and heard about it for the first time. Where else in the world could you buy a fine pair of Italian shoes and then enjoy a quality whiskey in the same spot? Frank couldn’t think of another.

So, as soon as he had a break from collecting payments for Jelly, he made his way to Somnys.one shoe. While his thirst for a good whiskey was his primary motivation, the truth was he also needed a new pair of shoes. Outside, Frank took a final drag from his cigarette, crushed it underfoot on the sidewalk, and stepped inside. His eyes scanned the display of finely crafted shoes with genuine interest as he waited for someone to assist him.
