The sound of gunfire was fading now, niggling at the back of the mind and somehow managing to cover the sounds of an otherwise quite pleasant fall night. Philli-stein stepped out of the car, motioning to his driver to park it around the block, and looked at the building in front of him. 

It was a plain enough building, a storefront with several levels of apartments above. Or that was what it seemed. Inside would be a different story. A multiple-layered security system behind the counter would lead to the area where…well, that was family business. 

Turning to look up and down the street, Philli-stein took a long deep breath.

“Just when I thought I had myself a nice easy gig, things had to go and get complicated. But here we stand. So, I guess it’s time to really get to work. As part of the rebuilding process, I will be setting up shop in Corktown with the blessings of Grandpa Joe. Keeping things 100% serious is not my style, but being effective is. So with that, I announce the opening of the Ligambi Family: Division of Unrighteous Nonsense.”
