Immolation of Babylon Started by: BellaPoarch on Dec 03, '24 17:09

Smoke surrounded the area, turning the fresh white New York snow an off black, her delicate garden, planted and cared for with what seemed to be a Melody, was now to be a Memory. She made her way from her beautiful garden, one that she had playfully named Babylon, after the Hanging Gardens of Babylon in ancient times, and made her way to her Godmother’s funeral. Kairi had done much for the city of New York, and particularly in Queens, and she promised to do anything she could do to honor her memory.

As she made her way from the funeral parlor, and was making her way to Godmother-Chariman Allie’s resting place, she was stopped by a messenger from headquarters, stating that Koehler needed her right away. She stopped in Allie’s resting place to say a few kind words, and drop off some flowers, before rushing home.

Koehler in a fashion most suited to him, was pacing the floors, a well-worn rut building into the carpet already, his patience some days was really waning. “About time. I requested you here hours ago. No doubt you were out with your head in the clouds again. Listen, there isn’t much time and we can chat later, but after the recent bloodshed, I’m going to need you to take a few people, and set up shop of your own. We’ll always be as one, honoring Kairi’s memory, but the time has come to show me what you can do.”

BellaPoarch, head fully in the clouds, and daydreaming about what new flowers she could plant in a rebuilt garden, snapped back to reality at the last bit of Koehler’s speech. “Oh. Uhm. Absolutely. I would be honored. Thank you so much for this opportunity.”

The grizzled man, already sporting a Santa hat to get in the holiday spirit, nodded his appreciation at her words. “I know you won’t fail me. Now hurry up, there’s rebuilding to be done.”

With that, she turned to leave, before turning back to Koehler. “I shall call it; Immolation of Babylon.” She assumed he would understand the meaning, as she was still reeling from the burning of her garden, and was very much looking forward to rebuilding it.

A few hours later, BellaPoarch and her most trusted friends, opened the doors to a new location, where she immediately began work putting down roots to grow.
