Not saying Rodgers didn't deserve it but do you really think he should have won it in a land slide like that? 48-2 out of him and Brees. I'm a niner fan but this is still a huge victory.

Lol. I still know who your talking about. I'm a defensive person myself so i agree. I doubt it'll ever happen but I would love it.

Tyga - QB's always win it because thats who people remember. Defensive players are every bit as important, but the pressure is always on the QB to pull the strings and win the game for the team, so a good QB is always going to get more recognition.

Fozzy, thre are times the defense has to step up and pull the strings to win the game. The MVP is highly biased towards qb's and I am not sure it is justified.

Its a QB league. Their the pretty faces of the league and thats the way the league wants it. Lets look at all the rules protecting them. Next thing you know its going to be two hand touch on the qb while everyone else can get their heads ripped off

Aaron Rodgers was most valuable to his team by having an amazing season. Brees beat Rodgers in a couple of categories when it comes to stats. But when it comes down to it, Rodgers played 1 less game and definitely doesn't have the amount of weapons on offense that Brees does. Great reciever set, but the saints have the advantage with 3 great running backs and TE Jimmy Graham. So for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to go 15-1 with the stats that he had near the top of the league. He most certainly deserves the MVP over Brees by a landslide. 

Of course I'm not saying Brees should not have had some more votes or didn't have a good enough season. But Rodgers was the MOST valuable player to his team.

I agree with most of your reasoning Ettore, but the award should not be given because Rodgers was the Most valuable player to his TEAM, it should be given to the player who has performed best over the season, regardless of whether he was more important to his team than another guy was to their own team. If this were the case then give the award to Peyton Manning, whose absence turned a serial contender to the worst ranked team in the league. The argument that Brees had better running backs at the Saints shouldn't come into it in my opinion. 

Although that being said, I agree Rodgers should be MVP, although perhaps not in the landslide fashion that he did win in.
