In a time before civilization, man, or even beasts there existed a realm of the gods. A golden city that stretched beyond the edges of imagination. A place untouched by the passage of time in which the very air shimmered with divine energy. In this holy place even the ground glimmered with the sparkle of golden dust. The cities foundations rest upon towering spires of crystal, gold, and pure light rising high into the heavens. 

Here lived the Gods, ethereal and timeless, they existed before and will exist after but have long since abandoned their realm. Some believe earth is this realm abandoned by the gods, some don't believe it ever actually existed...one thing is certain: The Gods have bent reality and shaped the essence of all life. The thing they consider most holy, even above life itself, is gold. 

To the Gods, gold is not merely a substance. It is the essence of creation itself, the embodiment of pure divinity. Gold binds the physical universe and weaves all of time. For Gods gold holds all answers, existence, and is the key to their dominion over physical reality and time. In simple, gold is the source of their strength.

Since gold exists in this world we know they bestowed it upon us. The human desire to treasure gold is in our physical being, our spirit, our essence as shared by the Gods. It links us, in ways we can never even fully understand. As the Gods withdrew from physical reality they left behind only one thing to bear witness to their power: gold. Ever since then humans have sought it above all else. Hoarded it in troves. One such hoard of gold has been myth above all others. The actual Golden City, who some believe to be the place of the Gods.  

Some believe the Golden City is a real place, hidden beneath the earth or cloaked in some otherworldly power. Stories exist about various dynasties throughout time reaching the Golden City and removing mountains of gold. El Dorado, The City of the Caesars, Atlantis, Shambhala, The City of the Sun, The City of Tenochtitlan, The City of the Moon, Cibola, and the lists go on...all cultures across the globe have believed it existed and those myths have survived the ages. One civilization of great evil took upon itself to gather as much gold from as many of these cultures as possible, believing they could gain knowledge of access to the Golden City. 

That accumulation of gold has existed and been passed from civilization to the next...gaining infamy, value, and curse. Every group who has attempted to sell, own, or even store the hoard of gold has met their demise. Its exact location has been lost in modern history and the last claim was that it was buried it in an attempt to avoid the curse. That civilization has since gone extinct and no modern history of where the gold is or if it actually exists can be found. 

It has been said that in old Sicily, the original La Cosa Nostra, clues to its existence have been passed down in the oldest of bloodlines. Though we can't know for certain, the possibility exists that this secret does exist...that this ancient bloodline has kept the knowledge for generations.....
