*Stands at the head of the table and raises his glass to toast everyone* Thank you all for coming, I have been meaning to update you on the state of affairs regarding the competition in the windy city of Chicago. As you can imagine I have been quite busy, recently my promotion to boss has kept me flooded with work and problems. Things have calmed down now so we can now discuss better and more exciting business. First off let's discuss some of the rules: 1) You must require your leader's permission prior to joining the competition. 2) Initially you are only allowed to have one member join you, and that is your RHM. 3) You are not allowed to receive outside help for any part of this contest, and that includes money from your leader. You will be required to buy out of your crew, as will your right hand man. 4) Once the competition starts all members not involved in the contest will be required to leave the city, to curb cheating and outside involvement. Members involved in the competition are not allowed to leave the city of Chicago, same goes for their rhm, and this is for the safety of the current leaders and participates alike. 5) Alliance with members already involved the contest are allowed and encouraged. 6) Once the contest has started it will last 4 days before the current leaders request a decision on who is the city head for Chicago. Extenuating circumstances will be dealt with if needed. 7) You will also be required to have a public image, you're just not going to set up and not say a word or plan on shooting everyone, or hope no one shoots you and you vote for the leader everyone likes. You will work with your rhm and make a thread out lining who you are, what you plan to accomplish, what you would like to do for mafia, and any other views and opinions you deem necessary. I can't stress enough that this is not Thunder Dome, you do not have to kill everyone to win, you merely just need to co-exist and decide on one single city head for that city. If you want to have 50 crews in Chicago then good on you, if you want to be city head but others don't want you to be, then I guess live by the gun or die by the bullet. Shooting your way to the top is not the only way to win, politics and public affairs will play a great deal in the winner. I say this because if the people and other leaders feel you just want to be in the contest just for the soul purpose of killing the other leaders and not trying to better the city of Chicago, then I will intervene and remove you from the contest. This is a great opportunity for some, don't fuck it up for the rest of the people if you don't like it or think it's your chance to play Rambo with other peoples accounts. The contest will be monitored closely and at all time, so don't try to pull tricks or funny shit. It will just end up in your removal from the contest. "my promotion to boss has kept me flooded with work" I'd like to point out that his flood of work has led to an excess amount of free time for me... I don't do much. Ever. As you can see I didn't even get Wise Guy. So basically, I just hang from Jonnie's neck and weigh him down. It's working out fantastic for me! |

Theres always one free passenger, Billy. Winks I gues this may just be that doesn't get it.. But from listening to what you said there, Jonnie, I got the impression that should one person decide to wade into Chi town all guns blazing then the other leaders might just simply eliminate that person? I know going out like Tony Montana isn't encouraged, but surely it's within their rights to use whichever plan they feel is best for them? Just curious, as I said, I could very well have got the wrong end of stick there? |

| If thats the way the leader wants to win, then its perfectly fine, but if thats all he can offer the city is a gun then we dont want it, you need to have more then just a gun. | |

| Thats fine. Just checking, wouldn't want someone going in there guns blazing to remove the opposition, only to be gunned down by the current leaders without having a chance to show their worth. | |

In all honestly, this is going to be a great opportunity for anyone. A lot of people will learn from this contest. The ins and outs of politics of our world will never be looked at the same way during the contest for its participates. I think anyone who is thinking about this, should do it. |

| I would guess it would begin on 6/28, which by that time my ranking should be Goomba, so I'll not throw my hat into the ring, and wait for the next open city authing extravaganza. | |

I think it will be very interesting.. Fight for the right to run your family and earn your respect. It could be your only chance - you never know. I hope to see a lot of people involved, and if you die at least you tried and dont be scared to try, its better than waking up dead of course it helps to have connections ya know' |

| We are all still awaiting a date for when this will begin, are we getting close to it? I think it's a great idea as it will give new blood or people who'd ancestors have had rare or shortlived chances to try for leadership | |
