..Let them know it's Christmas time.

I hope we are having a wonderful run up to the Christmas period. All nice and snug in our HQs, Eggnog by the fire and waiting for the fat man to come down the chimney..

I am not sure if you are all aware but city hall has instigated some pretty serious sanctions at the moment. The issue is that it appears we are all a little too chilled out for Christmas and the little bastard street urchins are not being given a chance of work. While we are all snuggled up in our rooms we don't appear to be giving people ample chance to join our ranks after they do our jobs. This is obviously an issue and one we need to come a resolution to solve.

Now, I am just a Wise Guy and have no real ability to tell people how we can do so. What I am hoping to do is provoke some form of conversation, acceptance that we need a change and we fix this. It is not good for business, for any of us, that unattached people are attacking our HQs and can shoot unrestricted at anyone of us regardless of our rank. On top of that, our bosses are being squeezed that hard they are struggling to get about our cities unhindered.

It appears that the issue is coming in the late and early hours. As we all get sleepy and nod off we are not covering those that do our jobs and give them no advice or acknowledgement. Its almost like we cannot do it when those limeys from across the pond are in bed..

I have a couple of suggestions just to try and provoke some thought and interaction. 

Would it make sense that to become a Made Man you must have acquired an associate to show that you can be trusted to lead your fellow crew mates? Obviously this is dependant on your family having the space but then maybe you must move to do so within your own city before moving back? Would that be solved by not having anyone below the rank of Made Man in a Godfather crew? (Pot kettle black I know) That way you would have everybody available as sponsors and they would actively engage new blood to these shores.

Should there be accepted penalties for designated sponsors failing to carry out their duties. This would go hand and hand with the above. Your boss has asked you to do a job for your family. Now you need to get it done to show you deserve your button and if you cannot be bothered are you really prime material to be trusted?

Would it make sense that the leaders of this world either have a private meeting, or better still, all stand out here without fear of ridicule or question to have a public conversation about how we all, from Earners to Godfathers, can solve this issue that is so bad for business? I wont complain if you use my little corner here to do so..
