This is definitely a valid question you have brought up Z. I'll be the first to admit, I don't spend anywhere near enough time roaming the streets or anywhere else for that matter and it's something I have thought about for a while now. What keeps me here, what brings me back. That is a question I will most likely never answer.

However when I do find time to walk the streets I do and I listen to the various conversations and discussions that are going on, but that is all I do listen. It's been a long time since I've heard something that has inspired a response from me. That isn't to take away from any of the discussions that are happening, I just feel that unless I can actually contribute something to the discussion I really don't see that point in getting involved. I wouldn't quite say I was apathetic about the place, but it certainly feels like it's going that way for me.

But thank you, you've actually given me something that I can use the old grey matter for.

Bis Sam leaned his bulky frame against a wall and listened to the various speakers. Trying his best to to get distracted in the side argument he addressed the initial question raised.

In an effort to help Althalus drag the discussion back into friendly generalities, I'll throw in a view.

Throwing a wink at Althalus he swung his gaze at Z

The nature of street speaking is an evolving process for everyone. As people's develop mafioso understanding and skill with information and learning passed down from generation to generation, so too their ability to participate and use this aspect of our lives also improves and evolves.

Sure, there may be few that will swagger around with the unmitigated charasmatic impact that this sex machine rolls into town with, but everyone has their starting point. It takes work. It takes experience. It takes trial and error. And it takes time.

There is a lot of history in these streets and the effect of that can not be ignored. The sheer cut throat brutality may not be what it once was but it still holds a sink-or-swim element for the making and breaking of reputations. It can be intimidating. You may pluck up the balls to say something, only to get shot down by some other up-start looking to fashion themselves a reputation of their own. It can be off putting.

As others have said, it remains the case that everyone must persist. Don't be put off by detracting voices. Think out your words and arguments before you speak, be sure of what you will say and you'll almost always be ok... Hey, it can be fun you know!
