Absolutely gutted about this... such a beautiful voice and such a troubled woman. Now she can rest easy. 

She is in a better place now... Rest in Peace.

I can honestly say that when I saw this in the news, I hoped for sure that it was BS.  Throughout her career and life, Whitney Houston was one of the few "popular" artists that was always herself.  She didn't fake an accent like SOME famous folks *cough cough Madonna cough cough*.  When she was interviewed, she was simply Whitney.  Of all the musicians I remember from my years in school, I will miss Whitney more than most of the others. 

First Etta, now Whitney.  A sad year for music so far; my only hope is that this trend doesn't continue throughout the rest of the year.

Rest her soul. Such a great talent lost.

RIP Whitney.

Although her memory may be tainted by drug use. Nobody can deny her abilities behind the mic

i respect her and everything she did but,  her name never came up when she was alive and stoped making music.

So as soon as she dies people are Screaming heer name just like they did with Mj. so why does it take for someone to lose there life to be respect and get there name in papers?

Who says it takes someone losing their life to respect them? Do you really think she died to get her name in the papers?

I don't know what planet you have been living on but her name DID come up often after her success. In fact, she was working on a movie .. going to be in it and executive producing. You really have no clue what you are talking about.

Tyga, I understand what you were trying to say. But surely you can't expect someone who isn't doing anything to be appearing in the papers? What exactly would the journalist write?

Whitney had some good music, but someone that brings death to their door with years of drug use doesn't get my sympathy. We each have choices to make in life and we are all responsible for those we make.

That said; I do have sympathy for her family. (minus her Ex husband)

RIP Whitney...spending the day listening Slacker's "Whitney Houston Tribute" radio station reminds me of what a great voice she had...thanks Whitney for being the soundtrack to my awkward elementary school dances.

Saddest thing ever! RIP Whitney  no matter your mistakes you was a great person and artist. 

So, when American terrorists kill Iraqi children, no-one gives a damn. When someone famous, who also happens to be a drug addict, who isn't a role model to anyone, dies, the whole world cries. We humans are weird.

or when a little girl in the hood gets shot lik wat happened yesterday noone cares because so lady with a drug addicts dies everyone cares because she can sing good come on ppl !
