| Philly Exclusive- Television Interview | Started by: Gianna_DeLuca on Feb 13, '12 14:04 |

At precisely 8:00 in the evening, as advertised, the local stations break to join an evening special. The camera fades in on Gianna DeLuca, the newly hired Public Relations Officer for La Casa Rossa. This is her first public appearance since her hiring, and a much-anticipated interview with the head of this Philidelphia family.
Gianna is dressed in a finely tailored, conservative charcoal grey suit dress and pearls.
Good evening. My name is Gianna Fiorina DeLuca, and this is a special-edition news conference with Philidelphia family head, Corbin Russell.
She turns to the Boss, seated across a small coffee table from her. The camera widens its angle and frames the two together. Gianna reaches out to shake his hand and begins the interview.
Gianna DeLucas: You are taking a bold step by actually wanting to "market" La Casa Rossa. Some other families in the organized crime world might see that as foolish or showy. Why have you made this decision? Are you afraid that too much press is bad for business?
Corbin Russell: Oh, it's not meant as showy; quite the contrary. And I know what Omerta is. No vital family information will ever be exposed. Let me try to explain it: I read some diaries from my bloodline the other day and I was confronted with something that made me think.
CR: I think we're doing great on re-building Philadelphia at the moment. La Casa Rossa and Viva La Resistance are working closely together to get Philadelphia back to the illustrious state it once hadThis will take some time of course. Rome wasn't built in one day either, right?
GDL: What is your dream for La Casa Rossa? Do you have aspirations for Godfather?
A dream? Yes, I do have one. I want to turn this family into the very best ever. By that, I mean not just a crew of individuals, but a real family; a family where you can call your fellow family member a brother or a sister. Brothers and sisters you can rely on - in good and bad.
GDL: Corbin, what inspired you to come as far as you have?
GDL: Many well-to-do mobsters are known for being party guys or playboys. Would you consider yourself a playboy, or are you more the private type? Any special ladies in your life?
CR: I definitely don't consider myself being a playboy. On the contrary! And I hope I am not considered to be one by other people.
GDL: What is one major problem within the world of organized crime that you would like to see solved?
CR: There is one big problem which I would like to see solved as soon as possible: the random shooting of bodyguards. This is really something that has been going on far too long already. Hard working people are losing their hard earned protection because some idiots (I really don't have another name for them) think they can get away with this. I can promise you one thing though - we are working hard on solving this and we will have a solution soon!
The camera pans back to Gianna, who is closing her padfolio.
Thank you, Signore Russell. Well, folks, there you have it. Thank you for joining us for this special interview with the head of La Casa Rossa. Signing off from Philidelphia, this is Gianna DeLuca. Ciao, amici! |

Aaron stands in the back corner of the studio as the interview goes on, closely watching everyone in the room. He had a few reasons for being there, supporting his boss and Gianna for the most part, he was also an extra set of eyes for them while they were distracted with the interview. As the show comes to a close Aaron heads forward applauding softly and nodding approval to both Corbin and Gianna. Kissing Gianna's hand in his polite way and shaking Corbin's, he smiles. |

*murmurs to himself while watching*
Even though my bloodline hasn't seen much of the way these streets are today, I remember hearing stories about exactly what Corbin is refering too. Reading the old, torn journals from his great, great grandfather's before, of the streets and the role they played in a family's longevity. Even if back then he didn't understand nor respect that aspect, feeling he should be free to live his life the way he wanted, strong but silent. I can apprecaite the role they played and even understand the importance, I guess you never realize until it's not as popular.
Good show, looks like Philly is well on it's way to success.
*takes a drink to their future*
Salute. |
