Danny walked out of a ma and pa shop on the corner of 67th Street in Corktown Detroit getting into his Cadillac he opened the envelope skimming through the money counting it before laying it onto the passenger seat he started the car up and merged into the traffic making his way down the street turning the radio on before he hung his left arm out the window as he cruised Coming to a stop at a red light making a left heading downtown Danny pull's into an ally leaning over opening the glovebox he grabs the envelope placing it into the glovebox as he turned off the car before stepping out and walking out of the alley he notices a brown car sitting parking across the street with two man in the car Making his way into Ricky's bar Danny walked up to the counter ordering a drink "whiskey please the bartender grabbed a glass from the shelf pouring the bartender pours the whiskey into the glass he slid a envelope to Danny while he placed the glass of whiskey in front of him "Happy New Year's Danny hope all is well with you and the family Picking up the envelope as he tuck's it into his suit jacket before taking a swig of whiskey "Happy New Year's Sal everything is great with the family how's the old lady doing Bartender leans on the counter placing the towel onto his shoulder "She's gonna pull through Doctor said she needs to rest but should be alright "That's good Sal I send prayers ,finishing the whiskey Danny reaches into his slacks pulling out a wad of 100$ sliding over a grand to Sal "Hope this helps you Sal take care Danny walks out of the bar stopping outside of the entrance standing there as he looked at the car across the street the man was still sitting in the car he made his way across the street walking by their car he takes a peep at them while passing by Approaching a man standing on the sidewalk selling fruit the man smiled big as he seen Danny walking up "ah Danny boy how are you this week the man leans down picking up a brown paper bag before filling it with couple apples and oranges "Doing very well Freddie had to stop by for those amazing crisp apples you always have they are the best in Detroit The man hands the bag to Danny before giving him a warm hug as he leaned in "Your being followed the man in the car was taking pictures of your car while you was in the bar Leaned out of the hug Danny's pats Freddie's shoulder "Thank you Freddie I thought I was think you can distract them Freddie chuckles "Of course I can Danny He turned around grabbing a bag of apples from the stand as Danny walked across the street to his car as Freddie made his way over to the brown car Approaching the front of the car he stood there holding the bag of apples Danny got into his car before driving down the alley the man look's at Freddie motioning him to move out of their way as Freddie kept standing there "apples would you like some The man in the passenger seat steps out "move out of the way we don't want any apples Freddie looks over seeing Danny turning out of the alley he made his way back over to the stand as the man got back into the car as the speed off trying to find Danny again |
