I suggest once a rank of Made Man is achieved, players should not be able to demote below it. I think this would make a CL give a tad bit more thought before pressing the button, it would also draw more of a line in punishment. Rather than taking ones gun, and dropping their rank, on a "grey area crime/ conflict" people would be more pron to die.

We've also had similar topics before, dealing in the matter of BGs. I believe Made Man is an Honor to obtain, and in tradition, demotions are the hint of a faulty man... Once you've become one of your family, why would you wana give it up to obtain BGs for a lower price! Cheap bastards.

It is the user base thats abusing the demotion feature. People love to exploit the system for their own benefits. Ive always believed if you're going to take a demotion for cheap bodyguards you should lose your gun stats pp stats.

Simply changing the bg price to being the same no matter what rank would solve that entirely.

The only problem with that is that it adds a lot of different aspects into gameplay, because someone with 101 thug bgs would still say IWP as would someone with 101 Godfather bodyguards. Frankly I think that's too much stuff to consider, given that the bg amounts are only given in tiers anyway.

That is why I think that all bgs should cost exactly the same, and be as effective as each other. It would stop demotes for bodyguards, would effectively reduce protection levels as well with costing more to get people significantly protected, and does not make the protection level viewable by all any more or less hard to work out.
