So, for some time now MR has gone without poker. I was speaking with a friend of mine about reviving the poker tournaments that used to be held. Back in the day this was very popular. I was only wondering, before I put in hours and hours into a Pokerstars club, idea's, and a team to work with, if you, the community would be interested in the return of poker.

So whattya say? I'd love to hear what you think!

I currently have all this set up and was due to launch it under Animal; but since I wackbacked its been on the back burner for now.

It seems those in USA can't access Pokerstars so I was looking into whether another similar application can be used?

I would like to start tourneys again.. I enjoyed them!

Last I tried I was still able to access pokerstars as I have a club also (I live in the usa) they just made it so cant play real $ games.. unless thats changed (which if so my bad)

Yeah, Fozzy, we have access here in the US, we just cannot play with real money.

I set up a club a couple of weeks ago and have played some private games, but never got much interest from people on IRC so stopped pushing for it, But I have a few people whom are always up for a game.

I woulld love to start doing poker tournys, i used to look forward to playin back in the day. Seems like we have enough people... So we should look into that. :)

i've been looking for this myself. I know we used to be able to use a specific client where we had our own server for tourneys. If we can just use the poker stars client for no money though, thats fine with me. 

I for one would love to be involved in this. I am sure I could get a few others into it as well, I hope we can actually make something happen this time. I and a few others have talked about bringing Poker back to MR. Just nobody has made it happen, or I havent heard about it at least...

I'd love for this to get started back up. I enjoyed getting my arse kicked before.

Striphe your probably right mate; I had a couple of our family test it while I was creating the tournament for us and 2 of the state side people got some message about it being blocked at your end. If you want to do a test run with me that'd be great?

This can be done sooner rather than later. Vote for a pokermanager and let them set up "Home Games" on Pokerstars. I presume this would be the most suitable poker client to use - if for the reason that people in America can use it for free play.

I am planning something at the moment, I'll be setting up an IRC room and I believe Fozzy already has a club, you can ask him if he'll hold Ring games in the mean time, thats up to him, though, I'm currently planning our first game.

Ive got Home Games set up already Sam, as Z touched on there.

Just need to find out a good day and time to hose the games.

Wicked - Just speaking to Z - and this could be done every night. What are you thinking? Once a week?

I also said that a special highroller 9man stt should be created for once a week. Get the big guns involved, so we can take their money ;-)

Same here, my schedule is always bouncing around but I would love to be able to be a part of this
