The long dirt driveway leading up to the Greene Compound was lined with towering oak trees, their leaves rustling under the crisp Detroit air. Tony Soprano, seated in the back of his black Packard, flicked his cigar ash out the window as he watched the high brick walls and iron gates draw near.

As the car slowed to a stop, Tony took note of the four guards stationed at the gate, their eyes sharp, their hands never too far from their pieces. Security was tight. Good. That meant the man running this place knew what he was doing.

A quick exchange between his driver and the guards, and the gates swung open, allowing the Packard to roll forward, gravel crunching under the tires. The compound stood tall in the middle of the woods—three stories of brick and power, with a view that spoke of control.

As Tony stepped out, his coat ruffled slightly in the wind. He took a slow look around, clocking the guards near the garage, the ones near the front door, and those patrolling the perimeter. This place was built to keep people out—or keep certain people in.

The front doors opened before he even had to knock, and he was led inside. The lavish front room greeted him with red carpet, white velvet wallpaper, and a pair of long couches. Tony smirked. Classy, but not overdone.

A man approached, one of Danny Greene’s guys, giving a nod. “Boss is upstairs. Been expecting you.”

Tony followed, taking the marble staircase up to the second floor, passing the office lined with bookshelves and the large table meant for serious conversations. He made mental notes. This was the kind of place where things got decided—the kind of place where power was exercised quietly.

Finally, he reached the third floor, stepping into Danny’s private quarters. A king-size bed, glass balcony doors, and a bathroom lined with gold accents. The kind of room where a man knew he was in charge.

Danny stood by the balcony, overlooking the lake, the sun casting an orange glow over the water. He turned as Tony entered, a smirk forming.

“Took you long enough, Tony.”

Tony chuckled, adjusting his coat as he took a few steps in. “Hey, I like to take my time. Appreciate the scenery.” He gave the place a once-over before meeting Danny’s gaze. “You got a hell of a setup here. Secure. Comfortable. Not bad at all.”

Danny grinned. “Gotta keep things locked down in this city. You know how it is.”

Tony smirked, walking over to the bar cart, pouring himself a glass of whiskey. “Yeah, I do. That’s why I wanted to stop by. New town, new faces—you and I, we got a lotta business ahead of us. Figured I’d see for myself what I’m working with.”

Danny nodded, leaning on the balcony railing. “And? What do you think?”

Tony took a slow sip of whiskey, letting the silence hang in the air for a moment. Then, he grinned.

“I think this is gonna be the start of something real profitable.”

The two men locked eyes, understanding passing between them. In a city like Detroit, power wasn’t just given—it was built, fortified, and protected. And tonight? That foundation was being laid.
