Where exactly do you end up drawing the line with that Moryana? Do you honestly believe you should be able to try to get a rise out of a Crewleader whenever you want? How about anybody in general? Does the rank somebody earns garner no respect whatsoever when it comes to these Streets. You treat everybody as hostile, do you want everybody to do the same to you?

Engagement can come from conversation, respectful ways to question certain things, and even the correct ways to give opinions that don't cross the line of being disrespectful. It seems though that you do not care about that and wish to get a rise out of anybody you wish no matter how they may take what you say or feel about it.

I mean if you choose to see hostile when I do not beat around the bushes or sugar coat things I think that is more on you than myself. Either way though in answer to your question I don't think I set out to get any particular rank riled up but I do have a counter question. Do you see crewleaders out here a whole lot unless they are being rude or hostile? I don't really. They tend to come out when they feel attacked more than not. They do not take the time to really do much around the streets. I do not choose what discussions get they involved in.

As for respect let us go down the rabbit hole a little bit with this one. Gangster A lives and works in City B. Crewleader C lives and works in City Z. Neither are close, Gangster isn't checking into how that city works, as in who is on top or not, but they end up crossing paths on a street in City S. Neither knows the other, there is no ties either knows of, but you expect Gangster A to know that Crewleader C is in fact a Crewleader when they engage in the same streets. Does that make sense? Logically? Not really.

Now I know the arguments that will be like "But you can see their fancy suits?" Well maybe they saved up some money and found a great deal at the local suit shop.
"But Moryana, your line knows how these things work" Sure, but that does not mean it makes sense to go with the flow and do what everyone else does.

Will my going with what makes sense to myself get me killed? Perhaps if people's skins are so thin that they cannot take what I say well. My line has never shied away from death though so it cannot be used as a threat to keep me in line. Brave or stupid? I don't know. It just is. I would like to think people on these streets who do manage to engage, even once in awhile, may have thicker skins as these streets have not always been kind and safe.

Engagement comes in many different forms, pick what works for you and go with it.

Let me see if I understand this correctly Moryana, you believe that because you do not typically see Leaders present in the Streets probably beccause they have crews to run and in Godfather's cases cities to run that you should be able to say things to pressure them to have to respond? You could surely understand how this would bring out arguments, resentment, and create problems correct?

What exactly does this gain for you? Its clear you likely aren't going to give them a fair chance at what they say as you will doubt it all, if not even say that they are lying or contradicting themselves. It seems in your mind you already have it set up that they are bad people or not leadership material which means everything you say will be to sleight them. Do you not find this as a problem?

Are they running crews though Dreams? Or are they just place holding? You raise questions that raise even more questions in the current way things are perceived. If they feel pressure, maybe it is a guilty conscience? No is holding them over a barrel good sir. To try to push how someone else feels as my responsibility is a crazier argument to me.

Define a fair chance. I have never stopped anyone from speaking their mind, they can say whatever they wish, or they can remain silent as most do. That is their choice. The glory of choices right? Just as you are choosing to have this discussion with me.

But you do make some assumptions that do not seem to fit entirely. My mind is never fully made up because it is always going. One hundred miles an hour even when I am asleep.  Do I think there are poor choices in leadership roles right now? Yes. Is that a bad thing to think? No. Here is why, not every crew is entirely ran the same way, nor is every crew leader the same. For instance, would I have joined a family had I thought said family was entirely crap or ill fit to lead? Chances are slim. My line is known to wait until they actually want to join said leader. People would likely do better if they had more than a two line penned letter with a crew leader before they joined them. Sponsors and hands are great and all but when you cut to the chase, you are claiming loyalty to the crew leader, would you not want to know what they are about first? Before you waste your time and effort? Hands and sponsors are picked by the leader but they are not the exact same as the leader. You do not get to choose those, but you choose who you are joining.

It should not be a crime to state that for me, not all of the current crop would make the cut on a  report card written with my standards and what I look for in a leader. They could by someone else's measures though.

I understand the overall sentiment you seem to be coming out with. I have heard it a hundred times. It just does not work logically for me to follow that type of way.

You're correct Buck, this is a pretty boring discussion as it is a tale of time. Nobody ever sees eye to eye on it and the discussion goes on forever. My apologies for intervening in your radio show here, you cover the news and make it entertaining and give us all a place to be able to read different view points as you search for the truth.

In this situation do you feel like we have come to the truth on this one and were able to conclude it? I am not so sure that is the case here but I am very curious on if you do and if not, do you ever close out your files?
