I don't understand the logic, myself. Luka is a player with his best days ahead of him. Davis is a player whose best days are behind him. I don't see how this trade helps Dallas, and I hate anything that helps the Lakers. Well, fuck Dallas, too, actually. But yeah, dumb trade on Dallas' behalf.

Are there any good basketball teams other than the Lakers? I feel like they are probably the best team in the NBA right now and they have undoubtedly the greatest player of all time in LeBron James. I don't really understand the animosity towards them, especially now that they have traded for a great player in Doncic. Is it jealousy?

The lakers aren't the best team and it's not the fact that people hate the lakers it's the fact this kind of trade doesn't happen in basketball where an MVP candidate in the middle of the season is just traded for a player on the level of Anthony Davis , it makes the lakers better offensively but defensively it hurts them a lot as AD is one of the best defensive players in the NBA.

The Thunder , Celtics and Nuggets are still above them in my opinion

As far as Nico goes, this is a guy who on his own wikipedia page has an entire paragraph dedicated to the time, while working for Nike, he hosted Steph Curry for a meeting, called him Seth, and then pitched him a powerpoint obviously designed for a meeting with Kevin Durant. He's clearly a couple sandwiches short of a picnic up there. 

I'm hearing now that Luka's conditioning played a part in the decision. If that's true, it makes it all the more stupid. As if he would be the first All-Star caliber player to put on a few extra pounds. They are professional athletes. They can easily lose the weight as fast as they put it on, if it's even an issue.  Or, like Charles Barkley said, "Fat Luka is still better than 99.9% of the guards in the league".

I know the outside forum isn't the place for a tribute to a character in the game, but I thought this would be a good place for a eulogy for BuckBurgerhouse, a closet Laker.

I barely follow the NBA like not really at all just kind of the headlines I guess and when I read this I genuinely thought it was a joke. It's so absurd so absurd. I just can't even begin to understand how a trade like this would be allowed. There has to be something with Luca that we don't know because there's no reason to give away such a generational talent

So Anthony Davis left today's game with a lower abdominal strain? The Dallas fans were pretty pissed off already. This will send them over the edge if Davis is out for any significant amount of time. Pretty hilarious. :P

No idea, who in their right mind would trade PRIME Luka Doncic, even if fat and slow, he still can outscore any guard, I mean, what the heck?

I'm really excited to see what the future holds having seen Luka balling already. Things are looking bright for everyone's favourite team the LA Lakers. 

Lakers fans praising Nico was as clear an indicator as needed, if one was, as to who got the better of this deal.
