Danny walks amongst people debating in the streets and gets upon the soap box. He clears his throat and some of those debating turn round to hear what he has to say... After hearing what people are saying recently I thought about something. If it was you who controlled the current regime and they were somehow the reason for a steady decline in our population here, would you as the leader decide what's best for your family, or for this world? Danny looks round at the few people now listening Would you jeopardise all that you worked for to create yourself and your family as a target for those who don't want to be under the control of your regime? Would you take into consideration that this world is gradually falling into nothingness? Would you be content with a minimal amount of business and hired help? Or would you stick by the code family first in the hope that what you're doing is for the best? What do you reckon my fellow mafiosi... To the hell with them all? Or act for the "greater good"? Danny steps off the soap box and allows the few people to voice their own opinions |

I would like to answer, but some things that you have said need clarifying before I can answer. Because it seems like to me that even though it's a debate you only asked questions that reflect only one side of the issue. "Would you jeopardise all that you worked for to create yourself and your family as a target for those who don't want to be under the control of your regime?" Do you mean whether a leader should take people in even if they think the people are only there to kill them later when they rise in the ranks? |

There will always be those in your ranks, or someone elses, who want power for themselves. Unfortunately, we have reached a point where people only strive for total power and absolute control. I know we are never going to live harmoniously, there's grudges on these shores that go back over dozens upon dozens of generations. All the current arguments about CP vs Project Mayhem only highlight that. Are CP, as a group, planning ways to get back into power? Yeah, probably. If they get into power in, say, Chicago; would that be enough for them? Or would they then start plotting to overthrow Jonnie and K-Dawg thus, effectively, claiming absolute power for themselves... yeah, probably. Big fucking shiny note: I am only using CP as the example here as it is current, this attitude does not apply solely to them. This, for me at least, goes to the heart of the problem. It is logical for those in power to wish to remain there. It is logical to take out threats before they become a serious risk. It is logical to only allow those you perceive to be low-risk to set up in any capacity, be that as a city leader, or a captain. It is utter bullshit to bloodline hunt as a matter of routine (the recent "zombies" not included). One of the very things that got people so riled of late was the murder of UncleNicky's bloodline because of his ancestry - the new leaders cannot condone the continued hunting of Mafioso based on their ancestry any more. That said, and this isn't meant as some loophole for anyone to jump through, but there will be those people still pissed with previous leaders for some slight, imagined or real, that could well take it in their own hands to kill their next of kin... it happens... it's par for the course when you're closely related to a recently deceased CL. The population of our world is small, it has been pretty much since it's inception - we're really only talking about degrees with the recent fluctuations. When one group of 20 or so had a problem with another group of 20 or so in the old country, it was insignificant. Here, it's a pretty large percentage of the full-time Mafiosi, for want of a better phrase). So what is to be done? I genuinely have no idea. What I suspect will happen is that those in power now will continue to consolidate it for a few weeks, and then we'll all calm down a bit. Why do I think this? Well, it's just what always happens, life here is cyclic. |

| "One of the very things that got people so riled of late was the murder of UncleNicky's bloodline because of his ancestry" - Sorry to pull out one point, but it is worth keeping in mind that just because someone wants you to think that was the reason, does not mean it actually was. Also worth pointing out that when asked "What would you do?" he actually admitted he would have killed himself in that situation. So whilst people may have got riled up because of his death, his ancestry was irrelevant. | |

That really depends on what the reason for his death is. If the reason for his death is as you say (which it wasn't) I'm pretty sure he would deny killing someone for their ancestry is dandy. This would mean by agreeing he would have taken the same course of action, then the reason was (as I know) for something else, which he understood. But yeah, other than that total pricks for sure. |

It was soley based on the that his character had the same ip address as UncleNicky on irc. If that isn't bloodline hunting then i don't know what is. My father was a prick, his father before him was a prick and so on. He knew once found out he had zero chance which is why he was incog and why he said to just kill him. He knew his fate the moment it was discovered as he had seen over and over generations before him. If people were not bloodline hunting why was it so important to know exactly who the person was from irc avenue? Why so many questions about a hard working member of the Family? What should it matter if you are honestly just promoting on merit and not bloodline? |

PR_Rep reaches back to grab the yellow and brown flag located in his back pocket and throws it to the feet of the speaker BULLSHIT, and I am throwing the flag. Rebull was killed because of who his grandpappy was and my pappy was killed because he knew about it...some out of this world investigating was done. It was admitted. It was said that Redbull was asking advice from other family members...even though because of who his pappy was he shouldn't of and that s why he was killed...what a big fat bowl of bullshit. if Redbull was the first of his family he wouldn't have been killed...PERIOD. Bloodline hunting happens, it shouldn't but it does...its a vicious circle. because pappy was killed by someone because of who his pappy was...then son will look for the one that killed his pappy, because he know that the one that killed his pappy will kill him when he finds it out, so you have to kill first...then when son shows up you gotta kill them before they kill you because of who your pappy was....CHICKEN OR THE EGG...who gives a shit. You people need to get over you personal issues and enjoy your time here. (PLAY YOUR FUCKING CHARACTER) |

Leaders should have an obligation to 'MafiaReturns' as should every one of us. However, it cannot come at the expense of being ourselves. Ultimately we are not Gods, we are men and women who have chosen our careers. We know what these careers go hand in hand with and it is rarely board meetings and Christmas parties. By the same token we are all pursuing these careers in this world. Without this world, we would no longer have any life to lead and we probably would be in board meetings and having Christmas parties. (We are players. We have a duty to ensure the long term survival of the world. If our decision is going to jeopardise that, we need to ask ourselves 'Do I have any other option?' But we can't lose sight of who and what we are. Our priority first and foremost is to follow our lives of crime and if the answer to that question is no, then you have to go ahead) |
