One flame extinguished last night, another lit today. Last night was a hard night for everyone, but we look to today as a new start, and the beginning of another enterprise. Project Mayhem is happy to produce a new captain today in the form of Shawty. Her bloodline runs deep with us, once her ancestors did battle against us, but now she'll lead beside us. We hope that this is a step in the right direction. The streets have been rife with change over the last 2 weeks, crewleaders coming, crewleaders going, and we are moving forward. When revolution hits, everyone wants to know where we go next. The CP empire has fallen quickly and efficiently. Months of one power structure toppled in mere hours. So here we are, in the midst of the debris trying to search for a new equilibrium. Join us on this journey, and indeed, join our new captain, Shawty. Jonnie_Reese did this, jonnie_reese did that, jonnie_reese hit me with a wiffle ball bat. oh noz jonnie is so mean he only auths friends, or shawty who went to war agisnt premeir and slowed down his take over. Because jonnie never auths people because they earn it, only friends. OH wait look at this a new auth who tried to kill jonnie but jonnie feels she earned auth. Shut the fuck up now? Oh and congrats shawty, go shawty its your birthday and such... That was lame wasn't it? |

So it's an auth to try and prove to people that you will auth those that may possibly kill you. Surely you shouldn't need to come out here and do this? Unless you feel you have been a little bit too CP'ish recently..? Is the 'she deserves auth' reason not good enough? Must you really auth someone to prove you are fair? Good luck Shawty. Judging from that statement there that's the only assumption I can make. And here was me thinking the days of oligarchic nepotism (SORRY I GOT MY THESAURUS OUT THERE LOLZ) were over. Nevermind, eh? |

And seriously, don't try to convince us all that this was a beautiful magnanimous gesture worthy of phrase. It doesn't matter who Shawty is on IRC. It doesn't matter who her mother was. It does matter that in this lifetime, Shawty has done little to merit such an honour, at least in my opinion. I would be fairly confident in saying that this is: 1. A stroke of propaganda to illustrate to your critics that you don't just auth friends, but equally: 2. An auth you know to be an absolutely safe bet based on recent occurances. An auth that further contracts the circle of power and responsibility, merely creating the same stagnant situation you said we had under CP. Consolidating power and authing people you trust is, of course, the clever thing to do; and for that I salute you. But the peons are not stupid; no amount of dressing up your motives will hide the obvious. |

You got that right, sir. Shy, and working hard for her family. As a captain I'm sure we agree that her speaking directly to the public has no bearing on the work she did for Project Mayhem, nor that it will affect her ability to lead her portion of Mr. Reese's crew. So glad we are in agreement over this! Now who wants pie? |
