Shawty stepped out onto the main street and picked up that famous soap box. She walked over to the public postal box and set the soap box on top of it, setting her portable radio on top of the soap box. Ladies and Gentlemen, if I could get your undivided attention for one moment please. Turning the dial on, a few static burps came from the radio. Shawty adjusted the frequency and found the channel she was looking for. A man's voice boomed out of the speakers. "...indeed! That's right, Evolution Records, tops in the industry three years running! Known for their keen eye at snapping up the best-and-brightest up-and-coming radio and music stars, this unstoppable force of a company has relocated their main branch down to the corner of Fifth Avenue and Parkway in New York. Looking for representation? Look no further..." After the advertisement was done Shawty hit the nob and the radio went silent. I'm sure that's not the first time you've heard that commercial. It's been all over your airwaves for the past couple of days now. So what's the point? What does this record company have to do with me, the new captain of New York? A few weeks ago my mother died and I inherited a few of her skills and her hefty wallet. I started to invest my money in a few things, the little record company was one of them. I've always been a fan of the arts and was extremely excited to be involved with something, well, legal. Not even a week and a half into my investment the company goes under. I loose a few bills, but I'm nothing far from poor. Having coffee with a friend I stumble upon a great idea. Buy the record label. So the next day I caught a flight to Los Angeles, shook a few hands, passed a briefcase full of cash over and it was mine. Now here I am, a young owner of a music label. What now? Simple really, run the record label out of New York and take over the New York music industry. Shawty paused for a minute or two till most of the civilians were gone and the police man down the street turned the corner. I knew I wouldn't be able to fool you guys. She turned and addressed the thugs, gangsters and others with crime status. The record label is just a front. When Jonnie_Reese came to me and asked me to be one of his two Captains I was honored. I figured I could just put the two things together. My hopes for this front is to keep the cops out of my business a little longer then usual. They'll suspect something from me eventually, those smart ones are a killer. Yes, I will be housing a full recording studio out of my head quarters, I hope to bring the entertainment life back to New York. I will also bring the crime life back to my side of the city, underneath the studio is where the real magic happens. My organization and record label will be both named Evolution Records. How will you be able to tell the workers from the criminals? That's exactly what I am going for. If you have a hard time then those feds will also. Word will eventually get around who is a criminal and who isn't. Shawty paused for a few seconds to let any stranglers catch up. My right hand women will be Evelyn. Even though she is not made man in rank she very much deserves this position. Besides being my trusted friend she is a hard ass mafioso. She may trick you with that sweet sweet smile, but, wow, just don't get on her bad side. Have you seen her dream diary? Crazy women, but perfect to stand along side me. A quick smirk played across Shawty's face as she saw Evelyn in the crowd As many of you may or may not know, I am Shawty. Some may say I embody exactly what my names says, that I'm short and sweet. My family has been around this thing for quite some time and one thing I have learned from every single one of my ancestors before me is loyalty. I hear rumors being spread already about my organization under Jonnie_Reese, and with it comes the harsh reality that some people absolutely cannot forget about the past. I, ladies and gentleman, can. It has never been the will or way of my family to seek revenge for past happenings. Whatever instances were happening in my mother's life before her time of death will stay there. I have come to this world to make a name for myself, not to live off of the ones of the past. Through hard-work and dedication I have proven myself to my leader, as should every new member of the mafia I will take under my wings. The past is dead and gone. I stand for fresh beginnings and working towards making a better future. Shawty grabbed her radio off the mail box, but before moving on to get to business she addressed the audience again. I'd like to thank Jonnie again for such an amazing opportunity. |

A thin blonde woman steps up to where Shawty previously stood; her lifelong friend and now her Boss. Slowly a smile spreads across her face as she watches the woman saunter off, presumably in the direction of their newly furnished HQ. She pauses for a moment before turning to the crowd. One moment please- before you go. Staring at her friend's back in admiration once more she felt a feeling in the back of her throat. Was she about to cry in joy for her friend? Fighting back the overwhelmingly girlish feeling, she gave a bright smile to the crowd. Shawty. How could one possibly put into mere words how vivacious and vibrant this woman truly is? Well, I suppose what I just said is a good start. This is a woman that I have grown up with since we were but little girls. Her bloodline has known mine for ever and a day, and I can say without a doubt that she will be fantastic. This was an amazing choice for a captain of New York... Her words cut off as she sees a patrolman strolling by. With a bit of a flush to her face she quickly scrambles on... A, uh, captain of New York's music industry. I for one am overjoyed to be working by her side. I think you will all agree with me giving a loud round of "Congratulations, Shawty!" Turning around she dashes after her friend, giggling for a moment as she catches up to Shawty and whispers something briefly in her ear before they both disappear out of sight. |

Valiant looks around in the crowd and sneaks up to a man he recognized from when he was locked up in New York once when he was just a wee Earner, he pulls out his knife from the leather sheath sown into the inner side of his jacket. He covers the mans mouth from behind and stabs him in the heart swiftly, holding on to him until he stops twichin, Valiant looks at his bodyguards and nods. The bodyguards carry the man to the car and shove him into the trunk of the car. Yeah... sorry about that, undercover cop.... sighs and looks up at Shawty with a smile. I like your speech ma'am, and maybe with it some of the crybabies will shut up already. But since the crying has a nice tone to it, maybe take them in and teach them what this thing of ours is all about? Oh, and teach them about high notes and shit like that... TheForest seems to want to start singing badly, maybe he'd be a perfect choirboy. Yes? A Record label as a front, never thought I'd see it but I do love the idea and wish you the best of luck in New York, Miss. Shawty. |

Sitting in a car across the street from Shawty's mansion..two trucks show up and start moving recording equipment into the back of the house.. Ahh.. look at this, music and the love for business mixed into one, with a little crime added. Good luck on this business venture Coughs..family Takes a drink from his beer..and drives off into the sunset |
