After the celebration that her city had planned for her, Clarity had some order of business to conduct. She smiled at those that stood around her as she continued to celebrate with her city and many others now.

Taking a glass she tapped her fork on it and then climbed up to stand upon the table. Rolling her shoulders back, shaking her hair a bit to get it out of her face and smiling all sexy like she eyed the crowd around her. Then turning she drug Xiphos up on the table and had him stand next to her. He wasn't expecting this and was a bit shaky from the shock of being drug up onto the table.

Putting her arm around his shoulder she cracked her neck a bit before speaking to everyone before her.

"As many of you know, this man has been by my side since day one, much like Jordan. He has been my right hand and best friend through everything that was thrown at us. So I'm sure many of you can relate to how hard it is for me to let him go, but at the same time he deserves this chance to thrive in our city of New York."

"He was there for me when I felt like bitching, because us women like to do that, and he's been there when I was the happiest girl in the world. We have got through many hard times and difficult decisions. I couldn't have chose a better person to set up and run his own family, even if it contains many of my wonderful members that were once with me. I know he will look after them and that my whole city knows I am still there for everyone of them."

Looking at him she smiled.

"Congratulations, Xiphos. You have done everything and even more for this city and for me. I look forward to the days to come as I'm sure the rest of New York and the mafia world do. I'll miss you, deary. Yet, I know you aren't far if I need to bug the shit out of you."

Standing drunk in the corner Sam saw the disapproving looks from Jack and the guys as they frowned at him in that special way that said' you've made enough of a fool of yourself for one day sunshine'. Sam wasn't about to tread on any toes but he was bursting with happiness at his friend's new appointment as a leader. Unable to restrain himself effectively he began waving at Xiphos in large sweeping motions from the back of the room. As Xiphos was unable to see him through the throngs of people surrounding him, so Sam's waving became ever more frantic. In the end he cracked. Still attempting to show restraint by not approaching the man, his drunken mind decided it would be much more subtle to begin bellowing at him from across the room.

Xiphos... Xiphos... XIPHOS... XIPHOS!.. XIPHOS!!. XIPHOS!!! XIPHOS, XIPHOS, XIPHOS, XIPHOS XIPHOS!!!

Finally the combination of screaming repetition and maniacal waving got the attention of Xiphos and he turned to wave politely back at Sam. Sam glanced over to Jack and Scream in some drunken search for recognition of his subtle approach. They had their faces in their hands shaking their heads. Confused but undeterred Sam continued.

XIPHOS THEY SAID I SHOULD STAY BACK HERE AND NOT EMBARRASS YOU. SO, CONGRATULATIONS MATE, I'M SURE YOU'LL DO A PERFECT JOB... AND STUFF... YEAH.

Turning back to his superiors he grinned and winked as he walked back past them to his chair. Sitting down he overheard Jack mumble something to Scream about tranquillizers, never again, public disgrace and something else but it was all blurred out in the euphoric drunken haze. Pleased that he had not brought any undue attention to their corner of the room Sam sank back into his chair and tried to keep his eyes open.

Jordan hugged Xiphos and smiled proudly at him.

Congratulations, my friend. You know from our many conversations how much I thought you deserved this job. I enjoyed working with you in Guns and Horses and I look forward to working beside you in New York. Good luck with your new job. Don’t get too busy and forget the big date you promised me.

As other people approached the new leader Jordan walked towards the bar and hoped there was alcohol left after Big_Sam’s binge.

Stamina look over to Xiphos and nods in approval

I have known you for quite some time now from when our paths crossed all those months ago, you've hardly changed a bit! Back then you were always calm head to call upon in times of crisis. Some things don't change eh?

Melody ran over to Xiphos and handed him a rose.

Oh dear friend, I figure you would get you pretty flower. I don't now why, so don't ask. Anyways, I am so glad for you. I'm so glad that I got to work with you. Well, keeping everything short and sweet. Let's go drink...one last thing.

Before Melody disappeared into the crowd, she stroked Xiphos and snuck away.

Sammy walks upto Xiphos, shakes his hand, and smiles.

"Our family lines have known each other longer than I care to think about. From our distant, distant ancestors being Crewleaders side by side in Philadelphia, with an alliance that couldn't be broken by any amount of power or money. I am truly honoured that you chose me to be beside you in your journey. Let's do New York proud!"

Sammy smiles again, and before a tear develops, he turns his head away, wiping his face.

After listening to Clarity's speech, Technical made his way to Xiphos. Technical finally get to where Xiphos is at and shakes his hand.

New York has gain so many important people lately. I know you have the ability to lead the family and will do a good job. Congratulations and thank you for helping me become what I am today. Go show New York what you got.

Technical smiled and found his exit.
