Shifty wasted no time getting to the Godfathers office. His palms were clammy unsure as to what to expect from the order. Shifty arrived to the office to find Godfather SantioRubio sitting at his office desk reviewing a ledger with his bookkeeper, Don Craven to the corner in the office speaking in hushed tones with some of the capos from his family. As Shifty entered the Godfather waved his hand for the bookkeeper and capos to leave the office. "Take a seat here" SantoRubio ushered to Shifty. Shifty took a seat sitting upright and fidgeting slightly. SantoRubio took a long breath and looked to the sky, holding the moment for what felt like an eternity to Shifty. "With the passing of Space-to-the-pole and Elimater3 we have a gaping hole in our organisation" SantoRubio stopped and made a cross symbol in the air. "God rest their souls. Great workers and friends." Shifty nodded in agreement with SantoRubio. SantoRubio continued "I want you to step up now, start a family in Queens and restore order and do us proud" Shifty absorbed what he had just been told and eyed SantoRubio "I won't let you down, thank you for the opportunity" Shifty stood up and shook SantoRubio and Craven's hands knowing there was a mountain of work ahead of him. Shifty poured a Whiskey for the 3 men raising a toast to all the fallen of New York. |
