Mercury, I'm guessing that explaining all of this to you will be a wasteful enterprise, but I'm a charitable sort, so here goes.

La Cosa Nostra is a distinct Italian-American sub-culture.  The FBI claim that it is a criminal enterprise.  LCN is present in many American cities and it is widely accepted by law enforcement and criminals that it is the most feared and best organised criminal syndicate.

Boston is an exception.  Irish-American and Italian-American criminals have often feuded there.  They have feuded elsewhere, too, but particularly Boston.

It's easy to snipe and write badly constructed critiques of another person's ideas, far harder to think of one yourself.

Racism is something I abhor and will fight against where and when I find it.

However, it is a fact that ethnic groups develop their own mobs and that these mobs fight.  Or, sometimes, work together.

It would be interesting to see what would happen in these cities.

Although I feel bringing new blood into the city, and I think it’s a cool idea to have an Irish city (me being Irish), but I feel it would ruin what we have going on here. As a fair person I believe all cities should be equal opportunity. To dismiss someone from setting up because of their nationality, religious views, or creed… well let’s just say one man tried that once and it didn’t go over very well.

I don't necessarily support but I like the separation side of it all... The only way to get in would to be less than wise guy and they go in (not all BG'd up) and set up through alliances and cutthroat business tricks...

I made a decision about a month or two back to never pay any attention to a street speach involving 'Kuklinski' in any way. However, the title of this one implies an auth. Please someone summise this speach for me and tell me if this mong has seriously been authed to Boston?!

Rizzle, from my quick scan I think he's saying that only those with Irish blood should be allowed to get auth to Boston. I'm not sure what the "Irish test" is- lets be fair, if you asked anyone on St Patricks Night, the qualification for being "Irish" is wearing the colour green in the past 12 months, and having a pint of Guinness in your hand. I have Irish blood - I'm very proud of it and it's a big part of who I am, but does that mean that I'd deserve an Auth on the back of it? Definitely not. If I was to get an auth, I'd have to, and I would WANT to have earned it for myself, not because of who my RL family were, or weren't.

What a strange coincidence - I too have Irish Blood! I keep mine in a jar on the windowsill.
