Joseph Clemente stepped out of his Lincoln and onto the winding driveway of actor Ryan Thompson's Hollywood Hills home. The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the lush landscape. Joseph adjusted his suit, a hint of a scowl on his face. He was here to collect a debt - $100,000, to be exact. Ryan had been paid to act in a project, but he'd never shown up on set, instead going on a cocaine binge. Joseph knocked on the door, and after a brief moment, it swung open. Ryan, looking every bit the part of a Hollywood star, greeted Joseph with a charming smile. "Joseph, come on in. Can I get you a drink?" Ryan asked, stepping aside to let Joseph enter. "Whiskey, neat," Joseph replied, his eyes scanning the lavish interior as he followed Ryan into the living room. As they sipped their drinks, Joseph got straight to the point. "Ryan, we need to talk about the money you owe us." Ryan's smile faltered, and he shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "I know, Joseph. I'm sorry. I just got in over my head with some...personal expenses." Joseph raised an eyebrow. "Personal expenses?" Ryan hesitated before answering. "I've been having some trouble with...cocaine. I spent the money on dope and a few women instead of showing up to work." Joseph's expression turned cold. "You're telling me you took our money and blew it on coke instead of doing your job?" Ryan nodded, looking ashamed. "I'm sorry, Joseph. I'll pay you back, I promise." Joseph's eyes narrowed. "You're going to pay us back, all right. But it's not just about the money, Ryan. It's about respect. You disrespected me and my family, and now you're going to have to face the consequences." The conversation turned heated, with Ryan becoming increasingly agitated. The argument escalated, and before long, the two men were engaged in a fierce scuffle. Joseph, his suit jacket torn and his face reddened, slammed Ryan against the wall. But Ryan was far from defeated. With a burst of adrenaline, he kneed Joseph in the groin and threw a handful of cocaine in his face. Joseph's eyes burned, and his vision blurred. "You little fucking prick!" he bellowed, launching himself at Ryan. The chase was on, the two men crashing through the house, sending furniture flying and vases shattering. Finally, Joseph cornered Ryan in the bathroom, where he pleaded for mercy. "Please, Joseph, don't kill me! I'll do anything!" Ryan begged, his eyes wide with terror. Joseph's expression was cold, calculating. Without hesitation, he rubbed the cocaine from his face, pulled out a .38 revolver, and fired two shots into Ryan's head. The sound echoed through the bathroom, and Ryan's lifeless body slumped into the bathtub. Joseph sat down on the toilet, his chest heaving as he struggled to catch his breath. After a few moments, he pulled out a cigarette and lit it, the smoke curling lazily into the air. With a calm, detached tone, Joseph made a call. "Hey Richie, things went south with that contractor. I need you to come over." Twenty minutes later, Richie and his crew arrived. They exchanged somber nods with Joseph before getting to work. "Richie, make sure you get all the blood," Joseph instructed, watching as Richie and his men carefully drained Ryan's body and rolled it up in a carpet. As they finished up, Richie turned to Joseph and said, "So I take it the stupid fuck didn't pay?" Joseph snorted, a wry smile twisting his lips. "Well, what does it look like? Do you see any money in my hand or are you rolling up a stiff?" Richie chuckled, a low, menacing sound. "Guess not, skip." Joseph nodded, taking a long drag on his cigarette as he watched Richie and his men load the carpet-wrapped body into the trunk of their car. "Make sure nobody finds out about this," Joseph said, his voice low and even. Richie nodded again. "You got it, skip. We'll take care of it." As Joseph turned to leave, a small kitten with a collar that read "Bugsy" rubbed against his leg, purring contentedly. Joseph couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation. He scooped up the kitten and tucked it into his jacket pocket. "Guess I've got a new little friend," Joseph said, smiling wryly as he walked back to his Lincoln. With the kitten peeking out of his pocket, Joseph drove off into the night, leaving the carnage behind. |
