When we consider everything that’s gone wrong in our world over the while - it really comes down to a severely lacking amount of that one word. 
 

Trust. 
 

Should I (or my ancestors) be trusted by this Awful Regime? Fuck no, they should not be. They were fooled a few times. Shame on them, I guess.  After that - it must unfortunately end. You see - I think that the trust is expected, but it is not given. Maybe they’re smart for this, who knows. 
 

There was once a time when my line could be trusted.  It would kill for its leaders, it would die for them too. Simply - Unwavering loyalty. My ancestors would promote these lines and authorize them if they were fortunate enough to be in that position and thought it was deserved. Promotions and treatment were given on merit. Death was administered based on merit as well. 
 

But - it was broken. And then - it was broken again. Then it happened to others. Loyalty would be given, and the only thing received was a bullet in the head.Accomplishments did not matter, only time served. And - it better be short. 40 days or so. Time and again - leaders would eat their family alive. 

These days, most of us are on the outside and that number is ever growing - whether it’s deserved or not. There is no trust. We sit here and our potential rots as we wait for the end, or we just simply spend more time back in the old country. A true dystopia. 
 

The good news is that the chess game is endless. You can have an infinite amount of pawns if you want them, and the number of pawns is ever growing.  A few will live long enough to  become queens - the most dangerous piece on the board, if you ask me.
