Giacomo strode confidently to the door of Joe Ligambi's office at the conclusion of the meeting, his face fixed in its customary stoic expression. The moment he'd been waiting for had arrived, and though he was ecstatic, he maintained his composure until he was halfway down the stairs, having left the upper structure of the Ligambi Family to their scheming. Once alone, he allowed himself to break into a wide grin. He was now in the same place his father once enjoyed, albeit for too short a time.

He had always looked up to his father, having learned many things from him, the importance of loyalty being the utmost. He had watched as his father served first his country, and then his new Family, with honor, dignity and respect. He had watched his mother mourn the untimely death of his namesake. From that moment, he had vowed to follow in his father's footsteps, but to take the path further, to finish what was started long ago. 

Giacomo left the deli, got into his car, and began a slow drive through the streets of Detroit for which he was now responsible. The weight on his shoulders grew heavier as he surveyed his new territory, but with that weight came the confidence that he was up to the task. Uncle Joe, Jimmy and Kenny had entrusted him to grow the business, and he was determined to exceed expectations. He recognized the importance of having good people around him, and began a short mental list of those he wanted at his side. It was time to make some calls.
