i was going to watch  it but, , i saw it was  haalf hour long and turn it off.

it's worth the time.

I actually watched it and was shocked by it. But it really did open my eyes. I have also posted it on my facebook. The voice of many really does have power.

Just got done watching it myself, very sad but worth watching and sharing.

While the guys at Invisible Children are no doubt nice guys who want to make a difference you have to question exactly how much they are doing.  Kony's army has been decimated, they are no longer in Uganda and have not been for sometime.  10 years ago was when this movement needed to happen, not now.  

I would also be interested in seeing how much of the money they raise actually goes to the people they claim to be helping and how much of it goes to the Ugandan government.  It is a well documented fact that most African governments are extremely corrupt.  i would also be interested in how much of their money goes back to them as an organisation.

Interesting video, worthy cause, but I am not going to give them money for a pack.  Kony is one man, if you are naive enough to beleive that he does not have other people below him that can take over if he is removed you are a bit of an idiot.  

Let's look at Osama Bin Laden as an example:

• The US governent spent 10 years and millions (billions?) of dollars trying to find and remove him.  Eventually, they did.  Did Al Quada fold and dissappear?  No.  
• Is Al Quada any less of a threat than it was when he was alive? No.  
• Is Al Quada still a functioning anti Western terrorist group? Yes.  
• Has the US won the war on terror? GET FUCKING REAL, they never will, until their foreign policy changes, but this is a different matter so I shall not digress.

So yeah, take the time to look at both sides of the story.  All this really shows is the massive power of social media to mobilise huge groups of people without really giving the big picture.  Don't let me put you off donating though, just be sure you are actually going to be helping the people Invisible Children claims to be helping before you do.......

I agree with Cab. Everyone is talking about this crap just because of a video. Give thi 2 weeks at most and everyone wont give a fuck about it. The most I could see someone doing is giving some charity which wont do a great deal of help. Im just going to sit back and laugh how this will effect people for no less than a few days when those africans are still dying.
