Hunting a Hunter Started by: PoisonousJelly on Mar 07, '12 02:17

PJ was having a long hard day. The reports just kept flooding in through the grapevine of more than questionable activity from one of Las Vegas's crew leaders. He was sure the other five leaders of Vegas had heard about it and organised a sit down. It wasn't hard considering the the topic of the discussion that was to take place. As always, the eaves droppers were in abundance and the rumours filtered through to the streets.

"Hey, psssst! I heard that one of the Las Vegas leaders has been rumoured and found to be member whoring!"

"Oh...Oh... I also heard that the same leader was found to show a complete lack of respect for a fellow Las Vegas Leader"

"Not to mention the fact that he just hasn't been making an effort to fit in with the other leaders. We all know how well that has worked for past Las Vegas prospective leaders!"

Let me elaborate. See... Las Vegas holds a tough stance against member whoring. It's something that just shouldn't be done and something that should be outlawed in all of this countries fine cities and I'm pretty sure it is frowned upon across the continent. Being a crew leader, especially in our situation, is not about just building a city that is strong and great for business but it is also about building a reputation. This is something that takes a lot of hard work and a long trip on the road to success but can be un-done by one simple action of one simple person. Having said that, the good reputation that my egotistical mind likes to think we have created here needs to be protected at all costs. Even if that means killing one of our peers.

Then it comes to our attention that respect for fellow leaders in our fair city is an issue. Let me explain this in the form of a question. Hypothetically, imagine you are a crew leader and then another crew leader of your city approaches you regarding a sticky situation where as one of your members has shot at one of his members. How do you react? Well, apparently... You react by asking to speak to the victim in question to hear it from them and get there side of the story. Completely over looking the fact that not only a fellow crew leader but a higher ranking one at that. To the rest of us, this shows disrespect and a lack of trust in your fellow leader. That is something that can not be tolerated. Once one link in the chain of trust between us is broken it has to be removed before it spreads. Considering our situation here in Vegas, trust is the one thing between us that can not be tarnished or we begin to implode. As we all know, A lack of trust can spread like the most vicious of wild bush fires. This also rings true to the third eaves droppers statement.

This leadership of Las Vegas being an experiment. We have to protect ourselves from dangers with in the city. No matter what.

Mr. Jelly,

I find it disrespectful to HunterSThompson's memory that you would include a piece about member whoring. I have been new to these streets for a few minutes, and I have already been contacted by some gangsters asking me how my day is going. I find this reason as a cop out to build a "case" against this leader.

Likewise, your statement about how Hunter didn't fit in with other leaders is an extremely egotistical view about the leadership in Las Vegas. I'm happy for your little boys club that you have going on, but the other cities are laughing at how Vegas is still an experimental city that keeps killing its own. Why would anyone work with Vegas when they don't even trust the leaders in their own city?

Also, your bullshit excuse about disrespecting another crewleader is completely baseless. From my understanding, a member of Hunter's crew shot at a BG from Spookz' crew. In order to mediate this issue, Hunter paid for a BG for the victim. He even released him from the crew and the former member was subsequently killed by the RHM from Spookz' family. How this in any way means disrespect I would like to know. I think paying for a BG that wasn't even killed and giving up a chance to upgrade an HQ is quite the sacrifice.

So in essence Mr. Jelly, I think you need to re-evaluate this Vegas experiment of yours and find leaders who will work for the common good of the city and not a personal agenda.

How nice of you to ask such questions, Jason. Let me address those for you;

I find it disrespectful to HunterSThompson's memory that you would include a piece about member whoring. I have been new to these streets for a few minutes, and I have already been contacted by some gangsters asking me how my day is going. I find this reason as a cop out to build a "case" against this leader.

There is a distinct difference between talking to people fresh off the boat, and simply dropping off directions to your HQ in their pocket (OOC: Sending an invite without even speaking to the person), the latter is imo what should be regarded as member whoring. Its understood the Right Hand was the person responsible on this occassion, and a Right Hand is an extension of the leader themselves. As a RH myself, I value this and respect this, as should other Leaders and Right Hands. People need to think long and hard about who they have as their Right Hand.

Likewise, your statement about how Hunter didn't fit in with other leaders is an extremely egotistical view about the leadership in Las Vegas.

On the contrary, PJ didn't just say that Hunter doesn't fit in, he said that Hunter hasn't made an effort to fit in. If someone doesn't bother to make the effort, then why should the other leaders put their trust in them? Hunter and his two hands were both spotted walking the streets while a City meeting was being held. Only when stopped and asked why he wasn't attending did he then decide to join his peers at the meeting. This is not the conduct of someone that wishes to work together.

I'm happy for your little boys club that you have going on, but the other cities are laughing at how Vegas is still an experimental city that keeps killing its own.

I would be happy for you to provide evidence of such a statement. In my position I am in cosntant contact with other cities and many feel that Vegas is as stable as any other city.

Also, your bullshit excuse about disrespecting another crewleader is completely baseless. From my understanding, a member of Hunter's crew shot at a BG from Spookz' crew. In order to mediate this issue, Hunter paid for a BG for the victim.

Bullshit? Pfft. Hunter was notified of the attack and not only did he feel it necessary to then ask to talk to the victim, thus ignoring the Leader themselves, he also then decided to take a flight to another part of the country rather than flying to the city of the shooter and dealing with him immediately. It took over 4hrs from the point of Hunter showing face before the member was eventually dealt with, and as you admitted yourself, it had to be dealt with by another family as Hunter was unable to fly due to the aforementioned fact he took another flight during discussions of the situation. Something a leader should not be doing if they have any intention of handling the matter at hand.

You also mention paying for the BG as though that were some act of kindness, successful shot or not the person was attacked and he should have been offering some form of compensation for that, this is normal practice, not him going beyond the call of duty.

He even released him from the crew

Yeah.. and why is that, do you think? There was no need to release the person. What if there was a gun malfunction and the shooter missed? The person was then going to be roaming the streets unsposonred and would have to be hunted down. This was done purely so the member dieing wouldn't look badly on Hunter imo, so that city hall wouldn't show any ties to Hunter when the person was placed in the obituaries.

So in essence Mr. Jelly, I think you need to re-evaluate this Vegas experiment of yours and find leaders who will work for the common good of the city and not a personal agenda.

Thats exactly what we already have, lad. All the leaders in Vegas work for greater good of the city itself.

Disrespectful to Hunter's memory? Jason, I think you'll find PJ was more than kind about Hunter. There were things he could have shared that would have made Hunter look like a fool, but he steered clear of them. If you would like to discuss the matter in private I would be more than willing, however I will not have that discussion here - airing dirty laundry is not my thing.

Report Post Tip

Heh, the only reason he doesn't air his dirty laundry is because I just can't help myself when I see a stocked washing line. Way to tempting.

Anyway, I came here with the complete intention of defending myself but would you look at that. My wonderful Right Hand Man has come out and done that in a more than adequate manner. I would just like to add though that I made no attempt to hide my ego. If you listen again you will notice that.

"So in essence Mr. Jelly, I think you need to re-evaluate this Vegas experiment of yours and find leaders who will work for the common good of the city and not a personal agenda."

That is what gets me the most though. Did you not hear were this came from? A sit down had taken place. This was not purely my own decision but one that is agreed with by the rest of us here in Las Vegas. At this moment in time and this might just be the ego talking again, we are Las Vegas. Romeo with The Love Machine, DeadlySin with Cowboys and Indians, SpookzBoyToy with The Las Vegans and myself with Fort Izzel... We are Las Vegas at the moment and everything we do or decide to do is through mutual discussion.

Jason there really is no need to get pissy and start slandering Mr Jelly, the entire City of Las Vegas was in on the decision to remove Hunter as EVERY single one of them all thought it best for their/our city

As Las Vegas becomes a more stable city then the leaders have to work together to solidify that City, and to continue to stabilize. Hell go look at New Orleans, you think Godfather Stamina has no or little contact with his other city leaders? I highly doubt it, same as with ALL the other established cities.

You say yourself Vegas is an experiment, but the experiment was to get Vegas back to being an official(for lack of better word) city. What you see in Vegas now more than ever before IS a city, not an experiment. The leaders work together at all times, the families work for each other. There is a mutual respect, there is friendship. There is a belief that we can AND will make Las Vegas better than ever before.

Standing at the back of the "little boys club" Gypsy bounced up and down on her tippy toes trying to catch what was being said by the group.. Noticing a lull in the conversation she gently pushed her way in between the men and stepped forward, tilting her head at the petty thief.

Heh..

Mr. Lukis, I have a scenario for you.. and I want you to think about it.

If you were a leader of a crew, and you found out that another family's wise guy took a shot at one of your members.. not a BG.. a MEMBER... and you approached the leader of that family and informed him, and he told you that he wanted to speak to the victim and hear it from them that they were shot, would you not feel disrespected?

And let me add another correction to what you said, Mr. Thompson did not offer a BG as compensation for a shot being taken on Spookz' crew.. besides the fact that Spookz is dead in the ground... The offer for the BG was for him stepping out of line and as a sign of "Respect and an apology".. When asked about the punishment for the Wise Guy assailant he offered to demote that member. Now, I don't speak for all Crew Leaders out there.. but I'm sure there are plenty who would support the decision of asking for the death of the assailant given the circumstances. A couple hours passed by after the agreement of death, nothing.

Mr Thompson was then contacted to find out how long it would be, at which point he asked who I was and how I knew about the situation. Ask any CL or hand in Las Vegas and they can tell you who I am, I am no stranger in my city.. Here we have a Leader who had no idea who I was, even when we've spoke in the past and I was part of city meetings.. So that goes along with your fitting in statement. If a Crew Leader can not be bothered getting to know, or even knowing the name of other Leaders and hands in a city... That's on them for not fitting in, he was given SEVERAL chances of interacting with us.

Anyway, when I explained who I was and how I knew about what was going on he told me it would be thirty minutes. Fine. I was sitting in the city of the assailant when forty-five minutes roll by and I receive a mail from Mr Thompson saying he couldn't figure out how to shoot his member and asked if I'd be interested in dealing with it for him. I said I would, and he asked if I'd wait for him to drop the member. Why somebody asked to deal with the person right off the bat instead of waiting over four hours is beyond me.. but it was dealt with.

Excuse me, why somebody wasn't asked to deal with the person right off the bat instead of waiting over four hours is beyond me.
