As you browse around the streets, you see a young man in a finely tailored suit loitering on a street corner. He glances down towards the business district, adjusts his hat, and begins to speak. You know, I was thinking the other day. I know, shocking. Obviously the work that each man and woman does for their family is the backbone of this thing of ours. But beyond the largely silent, lonely work that we do for money, there are the things we do for no other reason but happiness. The business district, I think, is the most perfect example of this. While the streets are often used to inform as well as entertain, the business district is full of only men and women trying to enrich their lives and the lives of others. My question is this: What special bar or business do you recall that you especially enjoyed and why? And what qualities make for a superior business? |

Remembers Striphe's Casino in the old days.. That was some good times and a good way to make some quick cash!! but now a days.. most stick to Slot machines and blackjack and illegal whoring of women.. Although this Casino was located in the streets, it was a very popular and booming business. Times have changed and all Casinos have moved into the back alleys and bar districts and are very quiet if any.. Sighs and goes back into the casino to blow his fortune |

It depends how they look sir.. Smiles and opens up a brochure with multiple different women 'available' for our fine cities.. Its only illegal if their ugly!! Points at a few pages of the brochure.. showing some real ugly faces and some decent ones |

I can think of some, but that is because they have sentimental value to me. I think L.A. Bets were good, because they provided commentary to the upcoming games, giving the customer background on the teams that were playing. I think what makes a good business is location, demand for what you are offering, and customer service. I have heard about Striphe's casino, and I think what made it successful is that it was in the streets (even though it really wasn't supposed to be), so that people had access to it all of the the time. People like to gamble, so it met the needs of those who like to do so. And I assume that the service was good, else it wouldn't had done so well. I think businesses should play a bigger role in our way of life than it is currently. Criminals always have a hangout where people can find them if needed, and I don't see that here. Not only that, the potential to make a few extra bucks adds to the desire, especially if you can tap into what the people want. |

I have always believed that the business run by members of the family I am currently in have been the best. As a family we all try to work together to prosper and when you can take part in a business operated by strictly family members, it brings a certain 'pride and respect' to the table everytime you operate in that business. A lot of families try to spruce up the Bar Section of the city they control, and very often it works preety decently, with contests and such and it gives people something to do that is respectful and is a front for our criminal activities. The only bad thing is.. often when a family dies, the bar section dies also and the children of the dead mafioso often do not come back to take over ownership of the business their father started. |
