Paydays Started by: Jackpot on Mar 15, '12 06:42

I'm not sure how some people would feel about this, but maybe giving an option to limiting paydays to a certain rank and above? Maybe even possibly a certain rank or below...

Certain ranks and above can be good in the sense of higher rankers earning the right to take a little cut from the earnings/family.

Certain ranks and below can be good for people starting out, as well as giving them some incentive to work harder for the family.

Just a thought...

Does anyone ever have the PayDay option available? In all my years on MR and .org, I've never had a single leader that allowed the option of PayDays. Having also been a leader myself many times, I know that my first action is to ensure the option of PayDays is removed so that I don't lose too much cash when I bring people on board.

That's why I was suggesting a limitation to a certain rank or something along those lines. I haven't seen the payday option in use in years myself. I would like to see it up and running in some fashion.

I do see your point though, Fozzie.

Either way I feel the option of a "payday" has become redundant, in its original inception there wasn't really anything for CLs to spend their hard earned cash on. Now though most CLs have loads of BGs to maintain so their cash is much more valuable, on top of that they like to save up and help reward the members that have proved to work hard for the family, rather than allow everyone and anyone to take money everyday and give little back in return.

I do agree with your points Fozzie, maybe perhaps the option needs to be taken out completely? As we both notice obviously it isn't being used.

Personally I would like to think in a role play aspect that being given a 'pay day' from the family would be a highly respectable/honorable thing to either achieve or be given the option to have money from the family.

As far as CL's having a load of BG's, I understand the criteria of needing money to help support the family head stay on top of his/her game and be 100% ready for anything at any time. After a long trucking road, we see families who had a well abundance of money who could easily afford to be giving members between 30-90k paydays depending on rank or how you have it setup.

Once again it does come back to the fact of having to be able to pin point specific parties for the option, either specific ranks or the hard working individuals you know would give back.

Lastly, the head of the family would have to be the one who ultimately gives the trust of the 'pay day' itself. He/She would be ultimately responsible if they can't handle their finances within the family.

Your spot on there. I would love to see the Payday option be altered in a way that would make it used by leaders. You've raised some very good constructive points, hopefully others will see this and contribute and possibly enhance the idea further.

I have a couple of questions...

What's the definition of a payday? Why was it initially implemented?

I always thought it could be used by a crewleader to give new familymembers some financial help, so they can do more lucrative drug runs. From a crewleaders' perspective a good investment, because his members will bring in more money.

With the implementation of the associates feature a sponsor should be able to give a payday and not a CL. Isn't it the responsibility for a sponsor to make sure his/ her associates will flourish in organised crime?

Using the payday as a reward doesn't really make any sense to me. There are other and probably better ways to reward family members as a sign of respect for their hard work...

I was wondering what the initial purpose were for paydays as well. I've been here almost 7 years and still have no idea.
