The smoky haze of Trapani’s Cafe clung to Domenico’s tailored suit as he stepped out into the cool night. The scent of espresso and cigarillos still lingered, but his mind was already elsewhere—somewhere softer, warmer. Somewhere like *The Peppermint House* The motel stood unassuming from the outside, but inside? A different world. Guards in sharp suits nodded as Domenico entered, their eyes sharp but respectful. They knew who he was. They knew better than to ask questions. Then—*he saw her.* Blonde hair like spun gold, curves hugged by a silk dress that left little to imagination. *Honey.* The best masseuse in town, with hands that could make a man forget his own name. Domenico smirked, adjusting his cufflinks. “Evening, Honey." She turned, lips curling into a knowing smile. "Mr. Dom. I was hoping you’d stop by tonight." He didn’t waste time. A flick of his wrist, and a roll of bills slid across the table. "Make it worth my while." Honey’s laugh was smooth, like whiskey. "Oh, I always do." The rest of the night blurred—soft hands, whispered promises, the kind of service that cost a fortune but felt priceless. By dawn, Domenico left *The Peppermint House* lighter in the wallet but with a smirk that said it was money well spent. After all, in his world, pleasure was just another kind of power. |

My first visit to the Peppermint House was a great experience....I walk in and sweet cute asian girl smiled at me and then winked ...that wink really got my attention...The host said her name was Kadei which meant soft happy wet kisses...well I was sold she was going to be my afternoon delight today...she took me back to a nice seductive room...we did the negotiations quickly...400 for the room 400 to the madame and 4000 to my the asian for what I was hoping to be a hell of a slam yet wonderful sex straved session ...and I really needed it...it had been a bout 2 weeks since my last bang...well she was great...she took her sweet time bringing me to the brink multiple times before letting me explode and i mean explode in her tight little snatch...I would recommend her highly...I know I will be going back very soon... |

Domenico rarely visited the same place twice in one week—unless it was business. But The Peppermint House wasn’t just any place. And after his night with Honey, he found himself drawn back, though not for her. Rumor had it there was another woman there—one who traded in knowledge, not just touch.
The guards nodded again as he entered, but this time, he didn’t linger in the lounge. Instead, he followed the dimly lit hallway to the last door on the right. A small brass plaque read: "Jenny – Conversations & Curiosities."
He knocked.
A voice, smooth but deliberate, answered. "Come in." Inside, the room smelled of old books and lavender. A woman sat in an armchair, legs crossed, a leather-bound volume resting in her lap. Her dark hair was pinned up, glasses perched on the bridge of her nose. She looked up, and her lips curved into a smile that was neither eager nor coy—just knowing.
"Domenico," she said, as if she’d been expecting him. "I’ve heard about you."
He smirked, taking the seat across from her. "All good things, I hope."
"Depends on who’s talking." She closed her book, setting it aside. "Why are you here? The Peppermint House has softer distractions."
"I’ve had soft," he said, leaning forward. "Tonight, I want sharp."
Jenny studied him for a moment, then reached for a decanter of amber liquid. She poured two glasses, handing him one. "Then let’s talk."
And they did. About politics. About philosophy. About the dirty underbelly of their city, the deals made in shadows. She spoke in riddles and revelations, her mind as intoxicating as the whiskey. Domenico hadn’t realized how much he’d missed this—the thrill of a mind that could match his own.
Hours slipped away. When the clock struck three, he reached into his coat and laid a thick envelope on the table. "For your time."
Jenny didn’t even glance at it. "Pleasure doing business, Mr. Domenico."
As he stepped back into the night, he exhaled, the taste of smoke and intellect still on his tongue. Honey had been a luxury. Jenny? She was an investment.
And he had a feeling he’d be seeing her again. |

[Scene: The Peppermint House – Late Evening] The Peppermint House didn’t advertise. Didn’t need to. Word travelled in whispers and sideways nods. The sign outside still flickered like a half-lit cigarette, but the interior glowed warm and red, humming low with jazz and perfume. Vinny stepped through the door, knocking snow off his boots and scanning the lobby with a glance that landed like a dropped wrench. His jacket was zipped to the chest, the collar turned up slightly, eyes hidden behind tired lines and the faint scent of brick dust and motor oil. Candy clocked him right away, older guy, built like rebar and not here for the usual. Candy (business like): “First time at the House?” Vinny offered a nod and pulled off one glove. His hands were rough, the kind that could strangle a man or patch drywall without flinching. Vinny: “Maybe I’m just here to see the renovations. Word was this place used to leak in three directions. Looks good now.” Candy narrowed her eyes just slightly. Not suspicious, but clocking the angle. Candy: “Darius hired the right folks. Plumbing, insulation, tile. All solid.” Vinny turned toward the hallway, catching the faint sounds of laughter, heels on carpet, and soft voices behind thick doors. Vinny: “Seems like the structure’s holdin’. Good to see someone running a house with rules. Safety. Discretion. Respect.” He slid a few folded bills onto the desk, not for services, just appreciation. Vinny (nodding once): “Make sure Flo gets something sweet on my behalf. Tell her it’s from a man who respects a woman that’s been through a few winters and still keeps the hearth lit.” Candy raised an eyebrow. Candy: Vinny: “Not tonight. Just wanted to see the bricks. The man who laid ’em must be thinkin’ long-term.” He turned to leave, glancing once at a guard standing near the hallway entrance. A mutual nod passed between them. Vinny (over his shoulder): “Tell Darius... he built somethin’ with bones here. That’s rare.” He stepped out into the night, disappearing like smoke through the gaps in the Motor City, leaving behind the faint scent of cologne, concrete, and old ghosts. |

The Peppermint House was locked up after the mayor instigated a "raid" arresting both frequent guests and a few of the ladies in his crusade to "clean up " Detroit. Next on his agenda: The 12th street public toilets. A week later a "tragic" car accident involving the mayor left him and his car in flames. Bricks was getting to know Samantha Lodge the new Mayor elect. after meeting at The Royal Obsidian lounge for a few, drinks. Samantha, agreed to sell the building back to Mr. Malone. After her assistant drove them over Ms. Lodge opened the door and looked around "so this was where different ladies were "entertaining" clients huh?" Bricks grinned "I guess not all offered sex" She smiled coyly the wine influencing her "pray tell me what are you are gonna,do with it?" She lightly traces a finger along his muscular chest. He looks into her eyes "something that will make me money which in turn gives you money as well." "I like the sounds of that I hope you like the sound of this"*She whispers into his ear.* Their lips meet in a,drunken passionate kiss her blouse became undone and his dress shirt became unbuttoned. They sealed the deal in a night of passion at the Peppermint House. |
