Sanctioned Bloodline hunting. Started by: Demeter on Jul 02, '08 23:12
Dear all,

Yes, we have talked time after time about the concept of hunting down and killing all the descendants of a particular person. their "bloodline" so to speak. This is a rather despicable practice. One that shows that we do indeed visit the sins of the fathers upon the sons and daughters.

There are however particular cirmucstances when this practice is not only a good idea, but I would dare say it is something that would be embraced by all of the city of Chicago and most likely by the residents of the other cities.

*Demeter steps forward and unveils a large poster of a shot of someones head captioned with the name "w00tage" .

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Arm your guns.

Happy hunting.

I remember a time many moons ago when a boy called Premeir was blacklisted from every crew in the land!

This reminds me of that, good call Demeter!

To be honest, if you think any descendants of this idiot are going to be around these parts, you have to be crazy.

This was the last, desperate act of an individual trying for notoriety and fame. The desperation of some pathetic child who has never, and will never, amount to anything, trying to cling to something he felt would finally get his name out there.

Making this poster, saying you're going to kill his descendants is exactly what he wants. Ignore this cretin. That will do more harm to his fragile, childlike psyche than hunting him for all eternity.

Mac looked at the poster unveiled by Demeter and said in a sad monotone...

Of the Saint Valentine's Day massacre, just last year(1929), over in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago's North Side, the newspapers said, "This slaughter has exceeded anything yet seen in the United States..."

Wonder what the newspapers will say in the morning...

Sincere condolences Alessa.
Report Post Tip
I don't understand why it's w00tage fault...

He took advantage of the facilities put infront of him...

If you don't trust someone 100% you shouldn't set them as RH.

Taking risks in this regard is an irresponsible danger to la famiglia.

I agree with LostPaladin. I disagree with the notion that all bloodlines should be respectfully removed from ones hitlist, and I completely agree with the hunt for w00tage.

The idea that we should forgive the bloodlines of a particular individual may float some people's boats. Not mine particularly. For instance, if let's just say Premeir had some grudge against me and I whacked him. I'm going to whack his son and his grandson, etc, until he gives me reason to believe that he holds no grudges. Even those loyal to him would be subject to my wrath. Keep in mind this is an example.

w00tage should not have been made a RHM and while nothing can be changed and we cannot waste time focusing on the past we can learn from it. Do not give power to those you cannot trust. You can apply this lesson to the idea of hunting down bloodlines. While a low ranked son or daughter of an enemy may be harmless and therefore non threatening, who's to say they will remain so when they are capable of taking your life in the future? Just as w00tage is an exception to the rule because of this situation, so can others.

On that note, you shouldn't hold grudges with hitmen, just the ones ordering the hit.
Report Post Tip
Why should w00tage be treated this way? Seriously it was Alessia's fuck up by making him RH in the first place that gave him the opportunity to do this. So by your reckoning, the w00tage bloodline should be killed every time it appears and Alessia shouldn't make any important family decision cause well she obviously still needs the training wheels a bit.
Report Post Tip
I do know this isn't the first time this has happened in the history of La Costa Nostra. And I don't think its going to be the last. People need to put the people that they can trust in that position so such a thing doesn't ever happen.

Rest in peace to all of those that are now swimming with the fishes.

I can't say the blame is with wootage in this matter. I would look further into the situation. Just take this situation as a reminder of whom you can and cannot trust and think twice about it.
Report Post Tip
Althalus, w00tage still killed like 15 people. I agree that Alessia is partly responsible but you're going to have a tough time convincing the "bloodlines" of the people that died that they shouldn't get revenge.
Report Post Tip
I quite like Externallinks bloodline.

He's a nice boy.

In turn I could understand that Alessia and dead people might be annoyed but as for the rest of us...well, there was more than one error in responsibility here and if the dead people are going to be angry at someone...it probably shouldn't be the son of w00tage...
Report Post Tip
Don't get me wrong Justino I don't agree with what he did. I just didn't want people just laying blame at w00tages feet when it was quite clear that for him to have done what he did Alessia had to give him the power....
Report Post Tip
Bullshit. Plain and simple.

"You cannot blame w00tage?"

What happened to being loyal to the family you are in? Alessia trusted a member of her family to watch over the crew while she rested. It could have been absolutely anyone. You're telling me it is her fault that someone she trusted stepped forward and shot 15 members of her family while she slept?

He is 100% the only person you can blame. w00tage took the shots and the w00tage line will pay the fine.
Report Post Tip
Naieve naieve naieve.

It could've been anyone?

If you honestly belive that then you won't make much of a leader. Not everyone should be a RH or take care of the family. A wise leader figures out a system whereby trusted people are available round the clock.

Do you really think that every member is loyal to their leader...or even gives a shit?

It's an unrealistic expectation. Leaders need to be wise enough to avoid this sort of situation. The result is a slight on Alessia.

One would presume w00tage understood the negative connotations his character would suffer and did it anyway so why would he care.
Report Post Tip
If you are stupid enough to put someone you don't trust in a position of power you deserve what ever happens. He took advantage of something that was available to him, you would all have done the same to an "enemy".

Lets be honest, bloodline hunting is still very present. So this is just another on the list. Bravo. Idiot.
Report Post Tip
Erm Bloody where did any of us actually say that you can't blame w00tage?

Infact I've gone so far as to say yes he did fuck up and should pay. But seriously it's not like Alessia gave him the keys to the 4x4 and he wrapped it round a tree killing aflock of seagulls

She gave him the power to decimate her entire family, thats like Mario hiring Bowser as an apprentice plumber. Something that at the time might seem like a good idea but is always gonna end up going down the drain.
Report Post Tip
Hence the reason the world is going to shit. Every member should be loyal to their family. I don't give a fuck what you or anyone else thinks. Your family is your life.

Leaders need to be wise enough to avoid this situation? Okies, wanna know how they do that? they do not invite anyone who they don't know or trust. Let us all scrabble around being shot at as low life. You make your choice and fucking stick by it. If they cannot trust a member then they should not be with them. I am sure the Gods would be slightly pissed though.

You join a family, you are loyal till death. If you think the mafia works. some other way I am all ears.

Also, exactly. Why should w00tage or any of you care? He is being bloodline hunted until his family leaves these shores. He doesn't care and nor do I.
Report Post Tip
Hats off to Bloody

Well said.
Report Post Tip
Nope.

Nothing to do with invites.

You just weed out the shit ones before you promote them to made man.

Afterall why would you promote someone to made man if they haven't proven to you 10 times over that they are loyal till dealth.

You would only make a non made man your rh in cases where you 1000000000000% know that person would never do anything to harm your family and is completely dedicated.

None of this has anything to do with why the world is going to shit.

That's another argument alltogether so don't try and blame everyone on this single situation.

There is one key actor in this situation who is directly responsible for the deaths and one key actor who is indirectly but more seriously responsible due to their heightened position. That's the bottom line, nothing more.
Report Post Tip
Normal members do not have to be loyal to their crew leader or even the crew itself. It is the job of the leader to inspire that loyalty from his or her own members and measure that loyalty by testing those members.
Report Post Tip
LostPaladin is right. Anyone below Made Man should only be made RHM when the CL is absolutely certain of their loyalty.
