I personally did not know Chris or his persona, SpaceCowboy, but this thread's responses are very meaningful and show what type of person he was and how many loved him.

Such a sad tragic, story. Rest in Peace SpaceCowboy.

This is devastating news. It's been awhile since we last spoke. Chris was my very first crew leader on here, and that's something I'll always hold close. I'll never forget the fun we had in New Orleans, or the many times he handed me an L in UFC. He was a good dude. Always honest and genuine whenever we talked. My thoughts are with his family. Gone far too soon. Rest easy, Chris.

DMN Corky I am sorry and saddened I missed your presence. But totally like you to pay respect to a rival or alliance. He was a part f our world. And he rocked it! To be so damn young and gone is a heart breaker....

i never knew Chris or any of his lineage (as far as i'm aware), having not played much myself really. i dabbled every now and then with.org, df and here, so perhaps we spoke, or at least perhaps i knew who you were at one point. but hearing the words spoken about him i know he must've been a top bloke. r.i.p Chris - my heart goes out to his family.

It took me a minute to find the words and be sincere. It honestly hurts to see another member of our community gone way too early. I’m not gonna sit here and act like we were best friends or super close but we did talk often here and there, and we had our moments, and we were involved here and there. My compassion and sympathy go out to your family. It’s such a sudden, an unfair loss. Looking back, I wish I had taken more time to really get to know you. I wish I had let the game drama go sooner, put it behind us, and used that time to connect more. But that time’s passed now. I hope the rest of us can take a second to reflect, that no matter what beef or drama we’ve had, this is our community. It’s a place we’ve all chosen to spend a lot of hours in. At the end of the day, it’s not worth holding on to all the mess. We need to be able to come back to the table, talk it out, and move forward. Life is fragile and painfully short, as we’ve now been reminded yet again.

I wouldn’t say I knew the guy that well, but it’s a small community and we all know each other somewhat. Everyone knows I enjoy a good brew.
